Evans House

We absolutely loved staying at Evans House! We chose it especially for the terrace, which was perfect for relaxing in the evenings when our son was too tired to go out. We also loved the open-plan space. The location was fantastic — just 2–3 minutes from the beach, which was never crowded, and only a 10–15 minute walk to the Venetian Harbour. We loved being in a quiet area while still being so close to everything. The apartment had everything we needed, even though we didn’t cook. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely choose Evans House again when we return to Crete. Highly recommended!

The only small thing that was a little inconvenient for me was that the clothes hanging rail was quite high, so I needed to ask my husband to reach it for me 😊. There isn’t a huge amount of hanging space, but there are plenty of drawers, so overall it wasn’t a problem.

Communication and friendliness

Everything was to our liking. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice two-room apartment, recently renovated, on the ground floor, convenient for those with strollers and/or wheelchairs in tow. Furthermore, although very close to the seafront full of clubs, it is in a really quiet location, far from the noise and there is always a place for the car.

Location and host is great, very close to the beach and harbour

Although I like brutalist style this had a feeling of not being finished, especially concrete floors. No ventilation in bathroom which leads to issues with dampness and mold on the shower. We stayed at ground floor apartment on other side of the building from main entrance
