Elia Zampeliou is a beautiful boutique hotel in a truly fantastic location – right in the heart of the old town with charming views and easy access to everything. The room was lovely and well-designed, offering both comfort and style.
Breakfast was also pretty good, with a nice variety to start the day right. Overall, a great experience for anyone looking to enjoy the atmosphere of Chania in a stylish and comfortable setting.

The Hotel is beautiful and is in a perfect location. The Hotel is small with 8 rooms. The Management, however, did not match the standard of the Hotel. I had booked a 5-day stay with Agoda where I searched for a room at the harbour for 2 persons, one adult and a child aged 16. I booked the place and paid up front. So far, so good. We checked in at the Hotel, went to the room and went out to town. After passing the reception, we were stopped and informed that there was a problem. The Hotel is adult-only, and my boy of 16 could not stay there. We could stay the night, but the next day, we would have to leave for another place. I told them that this was news to me. I had been very clear about the age of my son when I booked via Agoda, and I had a confirmation of the booking for the two of us. They were very persistent with their policy and told me it was my problem that Agoda had accepted my booking. I informed them that I had a confirmed booking and I, in good faith, had made the reservation. This was not my problem, and I would not leave. Keep in mind, this is a place with 8 rooms, no shared areas for the guests, not even a place to eat breakfast. This was at another place, so my boy would not disturb anyone. That said, they insisted, but so did I, and after talking to several people, they let us stay. It was, however, very unpleasant and not worthy of a place trying to be high-end. If the hotel makes a mistake or does not make sure that a third party on their behalf can apply their rules, they should not make this a problem for the paying customer. They have a lot to learn about how to treat paying customers.
