The Chorlton

Location and cleanliness were spot on. The communication from The hosts was great. A gem of a find and very reasonably priced for what we got. Large apartment with comfy beds and a great shower.

Good location for what I needed, clean and felt secure.

A bit noisy: doors banging, squeaky stairs so that was a bit disturbing. The houses next door look completely derelict but people did seem to live there so that let it down a bit, but the property itself is very good.

You could settle in and everything you needed was at the apartment for a ‘homely’ experience.

The pillows.

This was a last minute booking as a replacement for another property that couldn't fulfill my booking. Usually I like to do some research on the area, facilities and proximity to public transport. I didn't have this luxury for this booking, but I must say I was happy with the location and neighbouring facilities. It's a short walk to Chorlton tram stop, which was convenient. The apartment itself (2 bedroom - top floor, flat 5) was very spacious and had a well equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. There is a Tesco Express a couple of doors down which was handy for milk and other bits and bobs. Tea and coffee are provided at the apartment, which was a nice touch.

Heat - I appreciate this is the hottest summer in many years, but the apartment is VERY hot. Mostly due to the huge hot water storage tank in a cupboard in the hall way. It was belting out heat and making the whole apartment far too warm. Cleanliness - mostly, the apartment was very clean. However there are a couple of important things for the hosts to note. The seal at the bottom of the shower screen is green with mildew! It's seriously gross :( One of the duvets in the main bedroom had some weird pink stain on it :( There were some nice decorative items in the lounge but the vase on the coffee table seemed to have the ash from someone's cigarette in it :( If you want a lie in, this probably isn't the best choice. There is a car sales garage and a car wash immediately to the rear of the apartment - both quite noisy from 09:00. The communal stairs are incredibly creaky - I seriously pity anyone who's staying here for more than a couple of nights! Finally, the patio door in the main bedroom would not open. Disappointingly, when messaging the host to ask for help with this I was ignored.
