Great space to relax. Had all the kitchen equipment you would need. Beds were comfortable . Having a proper walk in shower so much better than a shower over a bath

Damp patches in the main bedroom. Broken window catches.

Die ruhige und doch zentrale Lage hat mir sehr gut gefallen .

An sich alles sehr schön, aber wenn man die Unterkunft für 4 Personen nutzt ,ist zu wenig Geschirr vorhanden. Und ein paar „bessere“ Töpfe/ Pfannen wäre prima.

The property was lovely and cosy, and I appreciated the roomy size of the kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location on the outskirts of Penrith was perfect for exploring the north Lake District. It also meant it was quiet in the evenings away from the busy town centre. There is a great pub within a 2 minute walk of the property with a huge beer garden and play area which my family made great use of to enjoy the last of the sunshine.

The only gripe I had was the lack of WiFi — I did know this booking the property, but had hoped the 4G/5G signal would be strong enough that I could add a data bolt-on and stream the kids shows on the iPlayer. Unfortunately the signal strength isn’t great around the area but we managed to stumbled through. I mention only because for families with wee ones looking to book this property I would want to know to plan accordingly.

Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. A minor maintenance issue was dealt with promptly. Double bedroom was very spacious. Enjoyed the lovely quiet area to sit by the river at reception building. Good location to access a really nice river walk to Brougham castle. We were able to use the swimming pool which was a lovely bonus to our stay.

Reception could have been better sign posted. Was disappointed with the garden as it was a bit overgrown and I had thought it faced onto the river in the photos. Built in bedroom wardrobe smelled a little musty and damp. Non stick cooking pans were showing a lot of ware and tare, so mostly stuck to cooking food in oven or using microwave.
