Casa Poliglota - 100m de la Cité Médiévale

It is on a twee olde-worlde street popular with outdoor diners right next to the medieval ramparts [or the City as they call it here]. It is a fairly strenuous climb to get to it. If you like walking you will love the medieval city, you can walk around it on several routes but you have to pay to walk the ramparts. You can even walk to Carcassonne from the airport - which airport is a bit rubbish for transfers and facilities. Three full days is long enough I think, unless you take trains from the railway station to tother places. For April it was surprisingly warm and sunny too. The first picture is the street. The second is a view from the city walls with the Pyrennes in the background.

It was a bit damp and dark. Turn up the heater to dry out the room. I live in a bungalow so going upstairs to the bedroom and bathroom [but not the loo] was a bit tedious. The courtyard is just somewhere to dry washing and have a smoke. The street outside is cute but its a long walk to the main but still old city and better shops. The monoprix supermarket is the best. I recommend taking your trolley case to the shops. Local prices are rather expensive. I mean, £20 for glorified baked beans and sausages with a duck leg thrown in.

L’appartements est très bien situé, il est à 7 min à pied de la cité médiévale, et à 10 min à pied du centre en voiture en passant par le magnifique pont vieux. Propre et spacieux, avec une cuisine équipée. Je recommande

Le calme et l’agencement de l’appartement, qui est très fonctionnel. Les « consignes » pour l’eau chaude et le wifi sont très aidantes. La machine à laver est un vrai plus ! Propriétaire très arrangeant et disponible via le messagerie booking.
