La Bastide

Very good location in the heart of Carcassonne town, the square market just behind the corner. Apartment was spacious and nice with aircon.

It wasn’t super clean. Quite dirty floors and massive dust under sofa and beds.

All aspects. Couldn’t get more central… clean and well equipped property.

Great location! Very close to the main square, lots of good shops, and the small Carrefour city branch. It's a 10-15 minute pleasant walk to the old Cité but also very close to the train station (maybe 5 mins). There are two nice places to go for a run close by (the canal du midi and the path beside the river Aude). The flat is nice, it is spacious and has lots of storage. It remains quite cool when it is hot outside and it has aircon and heating in the living room, plus heaters in the bedroom. The check in and check out process is extremely easy and convenient.

The flat is really good and I would recommend it but here are three small changes that would make it even better! 1. It would be really good if there were 2 keys to the apartment. It was difficult when one of us wanted to nap during the day as they had to wake up to let the others back in 2. It would also be good to have a rack for when the plates are drying after washing up. You can get foldable ones to save space and that would be really useful. 3. The duvets are quite small vs the bed size. It would be good to have bigger duvets, or a spare duvet for each room. We are 2 average sized adults and the duvet felt too small, e.g. we were always fighting for it which is unusual.

Location was great. Plenty of light and space. Lots of storage and nice decor. Lift was very convenient.

Toilet smelled bad and not enough toilet paper for more than a day. Only one coffee pod and not easy to buy more. Beds very small. No proper wine glasses.
