Absolutely Exceptional Stay

We recently stayed at this wonderful bed & breakfast and everything about our experience was exceptional from start to finish. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable and beautifully maintained - truly a home away from home. The continental breakfast was outstanding with a great variety of fresh delicious options to start the day right. What really made our stay special was the host, Pat. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area offering great tips on local attractions and entertainment. His warmth and friendliness made us completely at ease. We genuinely could not have asked for a better experience. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, welcoming getaway in the Galway area. Patrick was a kind host who was there to meet us and made a dinner booking for us and some recommendations for onward travel. He has upped his game on breakfast and meats and cheese were available in addition to eggs yogurt and really nice bread and coffee, We knew that this was advertised as continental breakfast so we were happy with this.

The room required a refurb. The bed was lumpy and needs a new mattress. See other comments The bathroom also requires improvement though the shower worked well. Though it was August we didn't think the room offered good value

We had a short but very comfortable and cozy stay - the beds were comfy, plenty of room and a nice breakfast in the morning. Pat was a very helpful and kind host.

Good b and b on the outskirts of Galway.

Very friendly, nice spacious room with the use of guest living room/dining room with 24/7 tea, coffee and cookies. Fussball table and TV in communal space. Nice breakfast set up for us in the dining area with hard-boiled eggs, yogurts, breads, cereals, milk and juice. Microwave and toaster were available. We were able to get on the bus right across the street to go into Galway.

Patrick very kindly bought in gluten free breakfast cereals, bread and cakes to ensure I had a safe breakfast each morning which was very much appreciated.

Somewhere to store our toothbrushes/paste in the bathroom and perhaps a towel rail to allow the towels to dry out after showering. Other than that we were very well catered for and welcomed.

I would stay again.

The owner was very friendly, courteous and professional. The room was spotless. The bed was the most comfortable bed I slept on through my entire trip. The breakfast was very tasty and more than generous.

The shower curtain ended a few inches from the floor so the floor got wet. It was a bit slippy when I got out.

DIY Breakfast ,no basin plug, 8ft high hanging rail, cupboards filled totally with Christmas decorations, no space for anything, Luke warm shower .

Needs to have a better solution for heating and a better breakfast.

The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The house was clean and it had a parking area. A bit far from the city centre but still accessible via taxi.

The heating was broken and the room was very cold, we were given an electrical heating which was not sufficient for the size of the room. We were given only one extra blanket for 3 people. Showering was difficult with temperatures like that, the toilet seat was broken and you had to hold up with one hand while using it. Breakfast was a bit poor, with overcooked cold eggs and not very good coffee. The only salt shaker we could find to put on our eggs was rusty so we could not use it. The room we were allocated was too close to the breakfast room and we could hear everything in the morning.

Good stay, the host was very friendly.

Continental breakfast. With fruit, greek yoghurt, cereals, toast, tea and coffee. One morning we got cooked eggs.

Maybe the bathroom was a bit damp and smelled a bit. The driveway was not as welcoming as it could be. So the first impression was not so good. But the house was clean.

Bed was comfortable.

Location ( my fault). No key to my room, didn’t feel at ease, couldn’t leave bags in room when I drove out for my evening meal. Breakfast was cereal/ tea-coffee for me to make, and bread ( OJ and a yoghurt). At that price, very poor value for money.

Ideal stop over

Great communication from the host. Quick and easy check in. Room was basic but had all we needed. Breakfast was left in the dining room for us to help ourselves when we were ready. Cereal, bread, orange juice, tea/coffee, youghurt and fruit. A bit hard to find as others have mentioned as no indication that it was a b and b but we looked at the pciture and found it ok.

No lock on the room door which made us a bit uneasy leaving all of our belongings as others were staying in the house.

Superb

We had a wonderful stay. Pat was a super and very accommodating host. House spotless, bed super comfy a lovely hot shower too. It is only 5 mins from a lovely Asian restaurant recommended by host. Food was lovely and our stay was relaxing. Very close to other amenities also. Breakfast was continental, the crossiants were so fresh! We will definitely return, thank you.

Bedroom door did not lock, but house very private. No TV in room but available in the breakfast room, along with board games.
