This charming century home offers a private and quiet retreat nestled on top of the Niagara Escarpment and surrounding countryside with its stunning views of Georgian Bay. Recently featured in one of Canada's National Home Decor magazines, the spacious interior is newly decorated with a relaxed updated country appeal. The house is beautifully situated, flanked on one side by a forested valley with a bubbling stream and on the other by a small apple orchard. Equipped with all the amenities to make your vacation a very relaxing one, the house has light airy rooms which benefit from large original paned windows, offering a warm and welcoming ambiance that will remind you of a vacation in the French countryside. There are 3 generous bedrooms. The spacious living room includes many comfortable seating options and a wood burning fireplace. Complete with 60" Flat Screen Internet TV w/access to enabled Netflix/Disney/Apple/Prime/CRAVE Accounts that are supported by a robust WiFi network. There is a Bluetooth enabled BOSE Radio/CD Sound System with a large and diversified CD collection that includes all music genres and selection of family board games. A newly renovated state of the art kitchen opening into a large dining room is delightful day and night, providing a wonderful ambiance for cooking and dining. A separate sitting room off the main foyer provides a fourth bedroom option if needed. There is pool/sun room complete with washer/dryer and a separate bar fridge for pool side drinks. A beautiful outdoor heated salt water swimming pool is regularly maintained and the surrounding patio offers a pair of white chez lounges chairs, six Adirondack style chairs and large market umbrella for entertaining outside. For the BBQ enthusiast in your family, there is a Napolean BBQ in back area. Kids can also enjoy the large springless trampoline with a safety net wall and basketball hoop plus a second garage mounted basketball net out front. The apple orchard doubles as a place to stroll or play outdoor games such as croquet, net ball, or even a little putting practice! The property is just minutes from downtown Meaford, a 10-minute drive from Thornbury and is in close proximity to all local ski hills (Georgian Peaks, Beaver Valley, Craigleith and Blue Mountain), Georgian Trail, Georgian Bay Beaches, and the Blue Mountain Resort Area. With 3+1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it easily sleeps up to 6 people very comfortably. With a relaxed country atmosphere and fully equipped with all your needs in mind.

We are a family of four - two younger children - and have stayed here in the winter and summer. In both cases we found it to be a wonderful place for a family vacation. The home is beautiful inside and out with tons of space for hanging out with the family, entertaining, outside activities and of course sleeping. The pool is perfect for summer swimming with a beautiful back patio. In addition, the owners go out of their way to make sure the rental experience is perfect. I would highly recommend it.

This peaceful country home is beautiful inside and out and very comfortable. Every room is decorated beautifully and with such care. It was honestly a delight to sit in any room and just take in all the details. The pool is indeed well maintained and kept at a nice temperature. We enjoyed some lovely meals on the whitewashed picnic table by the pool -- not to mention in the elegant yet comfortable dining room. The owner of the property, Andrew, responded to emails promptly and made us feel welcome, which was so nice (and somewhat rare!) for a rental property.

Our family (three kids aged 6, 6 and 8) absolutely loved this picturesque country home. The heated pool and trampoline provided hours of entertainment for the kids and allowed my wife and I to have a relaxing break. The yard/field was huge and had ample space for baseball and soccer. The property was very quiet and beautifully appointed, and was only a 3 minute drive to town (groceries etc.). Andrew was a delight to deal with. We will definitely be coming back... but for a week next time. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week by Georgian Bay. Wonderful property: a fascinating old house with lots of room, all beautifully decorated and maintained, together with a backyard pool and trampoline for the kids. Many interesting spots within a thirty minute drive. The owners are committed to making your stay as comfortable as possible. A perfect place to unwind with your family.
