A few disappointing details

It was clean.

I’m giving a lower rating because the listing could be clearer about the shared facilities — there is 1 shared bathroom and 2 toilets for 4 rooms. Another issue we experienced was with the heating, which was turned off around 10:00 pm and only came back on around 6–7 am, making the night quite uncomfortable. In addition, the TV in the living room was not working, nor was the TV in the room we stayed in.

Great place

It has everything you need for either just 1 night stay or for the whole week. Clean and comfortable. Very close to Southampton hospital and a fairly large convenience store.

Acceptable, good price, good location, some problems

Breakfast not provided. Property very clean. Very easy access to hospital which was the most important thing for me.

TV didn’t work. Message appeared on screen to say WiFi wasn’t compatible which was very poor in my view. I think single bed could have been bigger. Heating in room didn’t work - again, not great for mid-October. Kitchen should have had a blind or similar. I could have felt very visible. I didn’t think it was appropriate to ask me to leave my shoes by the front door band wear very basic slippers. Complied but carried my shoes into the bedroom.

Fantastic place to stay, especially if you want to be near the hospital as I did.

Helpful and friendly gentleman showed me around the property. Everything was clean and tidy. Excellent wifi. Off street parking.

Great value, great hosts, very nice accommodation, would 100% use again

Host was really nice and on call straight away. Was expecting a single bed but found a very comfortable double in my room. Also being around the corner from the hospital was ideal for myself visiting my son.

The neighbours were a little noisy but that can't be helped.

Excellent stay

The rooms were very clean and the facilities in kitchen had everything I needed.I had a TV in my room where I could get Netflicks.The Spire hospital was a short walk away and a shop nearby where I could get food,milk etc.

Clean, comfy & value for money

I travelled from near Gatwick Airport, to visit a friend in university general hospital. To walk through the front door to a clean comfortable place, to rest was very needed. It's ideal if your visiting the hospital as its just few minutes walk away. With a shop, chippy, & kebab/burger shop at the end of road. It also has great bus links to southampton city center. I would definitely recommend it.

For a quality sleepover, this provided all that is needed and all clean and well kept.

All the basics were there and in good condition. Bed really comfortable. Quiet surroundings. All facilitated for a good night's sleep.

Lack of hooks e.g. for damp towels, flannels in bedroom. Although hot water in shower, there was no hot water in sink e.g. for shaving, general ablutions.

Very clean, neat and secure.

It would have been good to have a mirror in the room, then I wouldn't need to go backwards and forward to the shared bathroom to do makeup and hair. A bedside lamp in the room would also have been great.

The cleanliness & facilities. The kitchen has everything you would have at home : toaster, cooker, grill, microwave, fridge/freezer. They also provide washing up liquid, scourers etc. The response time from the owner couldn't be faulted.

The heating was a problem at first, but the owner did his best to sort it out (which he did). The rooms could do with a splash of colour - it's all grey & white. My final comment is that I found it really unnerving as there was only one other person in the house and it was a very quiet road.... not ideal walking back alone, late at night in the dark.

Very good

It is as advertised - a room in a new/newly refurbished house. Looks like 4 bedrooms with shared bathroom/dining area and kitchen more like an apartment than hotel. Very clean. Slightly out of town but close to decent bus services.

Whilst there was a TV in the bedroom/living room they didn't appear to be connected to such as freeview
