The Nook

You dont really have to do anything while you're there, just sit in your fabulous lounge (or on one of the many benches in the garden) and admire the breath-taking view. The antique furniture in the bedrooms is stunning! And yet the bathrooms have all the modern tweaks. Did I mention the fireplaces in both living rooms? During our stay we visited the Rococo Gardens, the Woodchester Mansion, the Goodrich Castle, Juniper cafe and St Mary's in Painswick, and went to the Saturday market in Stroud.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. Perhaps that the local pub was a little overpriced. The house is situated in a charming village (one church, one pub, one playground). There are lots of walking, cycling, and horse-riding opportunities around. My personal favourite place to visit was Painswick which is stunningly beautiful and looks like something in the south of France or Italy.

The Nook ist eines der schönsten und modernsten Ferienhäuser, die wir bisher gebucht haben. Das Haus liegt wunderschön mit herrlichen Ausblicken und einem großen Garten hinter dem Haus. Es ist sehr geräumig und wurde in den letzten Jahren auf den neuesten Stand gebracht. Wir wurden vom Besitzer John in Empfang genommen, der wirklich nett war und uns Tipps gab zur Umgebung. Um die Cotswolds zu erkunden, ist The Nook der perfekte Ausgangpunkt.

We loved the space - cottage charm without feeling small, large living room with fantastic picture window overlooking the valley, high ceilings in bedrooms. Great for walking - straight from doorstep. Nice welcome pack, helpful and very responsive hosts. Easy drive to Stroud /Gloucestershire /Cheltenham /Bourton.

Mooie ruime cottage voorzien van alle denkbare keukenbenodigdheden met een schitterend uitzicht over de vallei. Zeer aardige eigenaren en alles was goed schoon.
