A small, but private room for a good price. The location of the property is a bit far off the city center, but still reachable by bus or longer walk (around 30 mins). The area is nice and quite, it has some shops and food takeaways nearby.
The property is a normal house, a bit old, but totally normal for a short stay. It has a large kitchen equipped with everything on the ground floor. My room was a small single room on the 1st floor. It had a nice comfy bed and was very warm and perfect for resting and relaxing. The bathroom was not private, but just outside my room. The property was not overcrowded and usually super quiet. It had a very good free Wi-Fi included.
The check-in and check-out is totally remote - all communication with the host is via What's Up.
The house has super thin walls. I could hear every step and move of the guest in a room above mine. It was a bit disturbing, especially at night.

The shower was actually really good and hot, unlike the reviews I read. Perhaps they fixed the issue.

How warm and cosy the bed was. Excellent night's sleep. The other guests were really nice and anytime I needed anything the host responded quickly.

Location was good and not too far to walk into the city centre and the bus stop was a few steps down the street.
Was a decent price for two nights and the bed was super comfy.
I was on the middle floor, which meant I had the unique privilege of experiencing every single movement from the room above me in full surround sound. The floorboards didn’t just squeak; they performed. Every step sounded like someone was slowly dragging a haunted wardrobe across the ceiling.
On the first night, the guest above me appeared to be training for the Olympic indoor stomping finals until around 2am. On the second night, a different upstairs room decided to host what sounded like a Belfast branch meeting of people who had never heard of sleep. This continued until about 1am, when a woman dramatically shouted for everyone to either “shut up or get out”.
The room itself was fine but the noise from above was relentless. I didn’t so much sleep as occasionally lose consciousness between ceiling creaks, footsteps, shouting, and what sounded like furniture being rearranged by angry ghosts.
Would I stay again? Possibly, but only if I was given the top floor, ear defenders, and written confirmation that no one above me had legs.
