Great location, great fun!

The views were exceptional. The and the deco stunning. Very quaint and authentic.

It was a little hard to move around with the slanting ceiling but it added to the charm and the giggles.

We were a bit nervous about the ups and down the stairs which seemed dangerous at first glance. Getting there is a bit tricky as everything is uphill or downhill. But after getting the heavy stuff, it gets easier.

A well located apartment in the Old Town. Quite spacious with a galley kitchen & well sized open plan sleeping & dining area. It has a lovely balcony/terrace & great views from the windows in the open plan area

Not suitable if you suffer from poor mobility. The property is on a hill and once inside, accessed via 2 flights of steep stairs. The bathroom sink & bath/shower outlets could do with a bit of a declog to allow them to drain properly

Really great apartment for our short stay in Lyon

Good location for access to the old town. Apartment was clean with space for family. Tv had Netflix.

Bit hard to access, lots of stairs through very dark corridors. No access to roof garden. Laundry was a bit full and hard to access. Difficult to get a car there for picking up luggage.

Not a pleasant experience unfrotunately.

The stairs are lethal, especially on first night of arrival when you can't find the lights. THe place is difficult to get to by car / foot I booked the flight as there was a picture of a balcony + table outside. But the propoerty didn't have any outdoor space. I stayed only one night and booked a hotel in central Lyon for the rest of my stay

Fabulous views of Lyon.

Fabulous views all over Lyon. Close to great restaurants in the old town. Very clean apartment. Comfortable beds. Good dishwasher and fridge. Good dialogue with Giles.

More suitable for 6 people max than 8 The toilet (without hand basin ) was off the living room and the kitchen, where 2 people slept on a sofa bed. Unsuitable for people with restricted mobility, many steps. Bedrooms were attic rooms, difficult to stand in part of the room.

More exercise than intended.

Property was close walking distance to both to the old town- tourist center of restaurants, cathedral, metro and to the hill top of old Lugdunum and basilica.

Our taxi to the airport was unable to pick us up due to street regulations and a single road closure. Our drop off taxi also couldn’t approach due to time of day. The driving restrictions meant we had to carry suitcases up long steep hills.

Misleading description on Booking

Very centrally located in Vieux Lyon

The description of the appartement is very misleading. Our appartement had neither parking nor city view nor terrasse. It is called a two bedroom, but it is actually a one bedroom with a living room, where up to four people could sleep, including a kitchenette. IF YOU ARRIVE BY CAR: You can not drive up to the appartement, not even for unloading luggage. Also, google maps is not able to give you correct directions, because the app does not know that the street (montee de gourgillon) is only accessible for tentents. For all other cars the street is blocked! The best way (as far as we found out after 1 hour of very stressful circling the narrow strees) is to drop of the luggage at Rue des Farges, just below the Parc des Minimes. Someone needs to stay by the car (as you probably need to park on the sidewalk) while the others carry the lugage down the hill to the appartement. It is about 250-300m to carry your luggage. Even if you can book the parking that belongs to the appartement (it was full, when we wanted to book it), your parking most probably wont be close to the appartement. My guess is that the parking is next to the drop-off place that I just described. So, when you have dropped of your luggage at the appartement, you can take your car to the public parking which is about 500m from the drop of place. There is a fee for this parking, however in August it is free. So, is the appartement worth the hassle? If you know everything beforehand, maybe. For us it was quiet frustrating. We felt cheated by the misleading description on Booking and will not come back.

Charming old building in excellent location.

The location is excellent, the building is very cute and considering its age it's well maintained. The flat was super clean and the appliances were all modern and very easy to use. The beds in the two bedrooms are big and comfortable. There are fans in every room with timer, which made the hot evenings pleasant.

It wasn't clear from the ad that we won't have access to the garden, which was a bit disappointing. The ceiling of the bedrooms are quite low, you can't do much more than sleep there. The additional space to sleep is just under the roof, manageable as the matrasses are comfortable, but wouldn't recommend for more than a few nights. Overall perfect for 4 people, a bit of a stretch for 6.

Un peu déçue par l'appartement, un peu sombre. Propre dans l'ensemble mais le ménage est négligé dans certains recoins (ex: pas mal de cheveux dans le tiroir de la sdb à notre arrivée... moyen). Surtout déçue car dans l'annonce tout laisse à croire que l'apart bénéficie d'une petite terrasse avec vue alors que non; il s'agit seulement d'un ou 2 apart dans le même immeuble. Soyez plus clairs à ce sujet car c'était notamment pour la terrasse que nous l'avions pris. Dommage! dernier point: il faut absolument retirer l'éclairage automatique devant les wc qui marche même la nuit et réveille les autres lorsque quelqu'un va aux wc!!

Les petits moins : c’est le fait qu’il y ait écrit 2 chambres sur l’annonce et qu’en fait il y en a une seule + une mini mezzanine qui donne sur cuisine/salon Les photos mélangés de tous les apparts du même immeuble qui prêtent à confusion. Nous pensions avoir un petit balcon avec superbe vue sur Lyon. En réalité sur fenêtre qui donne sur un autre bâtiment .

Logement charmant, mais sérieux problème d’hygiène

Quartier de Fourvière très charmant et agréable. Logement globalement propre hors l’incident mentionné. Literie confortable. Chambre avec mezzanine type “cabane” très appréciée par les enfants. Lit bébé demandé installé à l’arrivée. Appartement bien équipé pour un court séjour.

Accès compliqué, impossible d’arriver en voiture devant le logement, ce qui est très peu pratique avec plusieurs enfants et des valises (nombreux allers-retours). Canapé-lit inacceptable : les draps n’avaient pas été changés et étaient tachés de sang, visiblement laissés par les occupants précédents. Découverte le lendemain matin après que deux adolescents y aient dormi, ce qui a rendu l’expérience très désagréable et choquante. Logement petit et exigu. Transports en commun à environ 10 minutes à pied, avec une montée/descente assez raide.

Posto incantevole sulla salita

Struttura molto affascinante nel cuore della città vecchia. Vista su Lione imperdibile! Appartamento era grande e ben attrezzato. Vista la stagione non abbiamo utilizzato il terrazzo ma con il bel tempo sarebbe stato meraviglioso.

Si trova su una salita molto ripida e faticosa e le scale dentro all’edificio sono molto strette, ripide e senza corrimano. D’altro canto essendo nella città vecchia non può essere diversamente. Ci tornerei molto volentieri nonostante questo!

Séjour décevant, dommage logement bien “placé” et confortable

Le logement est bien agencé, propre et bien équipé, rien ne manquait à notre arrivée. En revanche, nous avons rencontré un gros problème de chauffage durant tout notre séjour, ce qui a clairement gâché l’expérience. Le propriétaire nous a expliqué que cela venait d’une “suroconsommation de son abonnement”, laissant entendre que le chauffage est limité. En plein mois de novembre à Lyon, c’est inacceptable. Des boîtiers semblaient relier les radiateurs principaux du salon ; selon lui, ils “ne fonctionnent plus depuis trois ans”. Aucun vrai suivi, aucune solution concrète, aucun geste commercial — juste des messages quotidiens pour demander si “le chauffage refonctionne” ou si “on a toujours froid”. Pour un logement loué 600 € les trois nuits, ce manque d’implication est franchement décevant. À ce prix-là, on ne s’attend pas à devoir rationner le chauffage : soit les boîtiers fonctionnent, soit il n’y en a pas du tout, et on laisse les clients gérer librement la température. Autre point : la description du logement est trompeuse. On réserve pour “deux chambres”, mais il s’agit en réalité d’une chambre fermée et d’une mezzanine ouverte sur le salon. Je ne suis d’ailleurs pas la seule à m’être fait avoir : j’ai compris cette information en consultant la rubrique “questions/réponses” du logement, où d’autres voyageurs avaient déjà relevé cette ambiguïté. Il serait donc judicieux de revoir la description pour éviter de futures confusions. L’accès au logement est très raide, donc à éviter pour les personnes âgées ou avec poussette. Concernant le garage, la boîte à clés se trouve dans le hall de la résidence, mais le garage lui-même est à plus de 300 mètres en montée. Le matin du départ, cela devient vite contraignant : il faut monter jusqu’au garage pour sortir la voiture, espérer trouver une place à proximité, redescendre la côte pour retourner au hall et y déposer la clé et le bip du garage, puis remonter à nouveau jusqu’à sa voiture.

La situation est idéale. L'appartement est confortable, sain et fonctionnel. Les doses de café et les sachets de thé avec du sucre constituent des attentions délicates quand on arrive en train.

Charmant appartement, très bien équipé, où je me suis sentie très bien, proche de tout à Lyon

L'appartement est vraiment très charmant. L'emplacement est vraiment idéal: tous les centre d'intérêts de Lyon à portée de métro, bouche de métro qui est à moins de 5 min de l'appartement. Le Vieux-lyon et Bellecour accessibles à pied. La nature environnante (dont jardin!). Beaucoup de restaurants à proximité

Excellent rapport qualité prix. Appartement très bien équipé, propre (literie incluse ) et fonctionnel. Tout est prévu et hôte très disponible et réactif ( même quand on a eu un problème avec la serrure qui fonctionne à l’envers !)

Il faut juste avoir conscience qu’il est localisé en haut du rue avec montée raide avec des escalier dans la maison très raides aussi . Pas conseillé pour les personnes âgées ou enfants jeunes / poussettes etc … et pas possible de décharger les bagages devant la porte donc mieux vaut être en bonne forme physique ! Notez aussi la 3 chambre en mezzanine avec echelle .

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Lyon sehr genossen und würden das Appartement immer wieder wählen.

Die Lage des Appartements mitten in der Altstadt von Lyon ist einfach toll. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es Märkte, Bars, Restaurants und auch die Metro und das Funiculaire sind gleich um die Ecke. Man muss allerdings gut zu Fuß sein, denn das Haus liegt am Hang, dafür hat man eine tolle Aussicht. Der Austausch mit dem Vermieter war unkompliziert und nett und er stand uns für alle unsere Fragen immer zur Verfügung.

Vieux Lyon von seiner schönsten Seite😃

Die Lage ist ein Traum. Man sollte allerdings gut zu fuß sein, da in der wunderschönen Altstadt erhöht gelegen. Das macht aber genau den Charme aus. Verkehrsberuhigte Strasse und daher auch sehr ruhig. Habe mega geschlafen, tolle Betten und allgemein top ausgestattet.

Sa situation dans le quartier Saint Jean à 5 mn du métro. L’appartement rénové avec beaucoup de goût, d’une propriété impeccable doté d’une literie très confortable (des draps qui sentent le frais) et d’une cuisine parfaitement équipée, merci pour la cafetière Nespresso… La montée est un peu raide mais c’est le charme de l’endroit puisqu’elle conduit à pied à Notre-Dame de Fourviere qui domine la ville. Un remerciement particulier à Gilles, notre hôte, qui très disponible, répond par retour de mail à toute question. Le top.
