Pleasant stay for the amount we paid

The bed was very comfortable and big so had plenty of space for ourselves. Spacious and a decent table. Warm and cozy. Big bathroom

No milk to go with the tea and coffee. Some of the bathroom had old drawers that looked liked they were broken and when pulled one draw 2 came out. Also could not get ordinary TV and ended up paying for Netflix but algood.

Great location, quiet and convenient.

Everything about the accommodation was great, and especially the location, it was very convenient to where we planned to go the next day.

We missed the part where it said we needed to pick up the key in a completely different location. This was a big deal for us, as we had driven for over five hours then found we had to go into downtown during rush hour!

Breakfast was not provided, but the location was fantastic since it was near the Claudelands Events Centre. The parking was good. The neighbourhood was quiet.

Disappointed I had to walk up outside stairs to get to the rooms. Carrying my luggage up the stairs was not easy for an 80 year old female. Also found shower handle very high to reach easily.

Warm and pleasant stay.

Location was perfect in terms of getting to and from where we needed to be and it. I paid for my parents and my parents loved the stay and will be considering coming back here again soon.

It was easy location to our event

I asked for a ground floor room no coresspodance we arrive me and a two year old pouring with rain and we have an upside apartment when I asked why my request for a downstairs apartment was not acknowledged but they confirmed my check in which was booked and asked for at the same time, they said book somewhere else. It was dark wet we had traveled just me and my granddaughter not impressed by their service I told them I was happy to pay what ever but they where rude and uncooperative

The room was pleasant other than the other issues we had.

It was cosy.

There was no plug in the kitchen to do the dishes and the shower water was very slow to drain. I am not a techie sort of person so we couldn’t find freeview to watch on tv. Seemed a bit strange having to pick a swipe card to get into the room at a different location. The other door going outside has a huge gap when closed also.

Clean accommodation with handy access to town.

Bad smell from sewerage coming through the drains - we had to block and cover each outlet. Staff from the property utilise the apartment above the one we stayed in. Coming and going at all hours through the night with no regard for the noise they make. You would think staff would be more aware not to run up and down the stairs and slamming doors.

It was very disappointing. From the Website info and pictures we expected better. It was NOT.

The unit was roomy.

We are heading into winter - the heat pump didn't work. No electric blankets on the beds. The oven in the stove did not work and the top elements on the stove were dirty and one had holes in the metal dish under the element. The Television was incomprehensible - how did it work????? On a paper stuck to the wall it gave a few instructions about the unit and said there was a compendium with instructions - there was not,

It was a reasonable sized apartment for what we paid. Had the facilities needed for the night.

We used the pull out sofa and there was hair all over the mattress. The soap in the shower was just hand soap or at least smelt like it.

Fairly average, wouldn't stay again.

The check in staff were very nice.

Check in is across town which is really annoying in the traffic. Having to pay a bond made us feel untrustworthy like we were going to wreck the place. Large footprint stains on the carpet in the as you walk into the property. The heat pump stunk when we turned it on so I cleaned the filters myself which helped a bit. The bathroom door has large gaps around it so if you are in the shower and people are in the kitchen they can see you easily. Could do with a couch in the living room instead of another bed as no where for 2 people to really sit to watch TV (let alone 3 or 4 if rooms were full) as there was only 2 chairs and nowhere to move the second one as it was under the tv and the bed was in the way.

Service from Reception staff was not good, had a parcel delivered there and she told the courier service that I was no longer there while I was still there for another night. Perfect venue for my purposes apart from the wifi, which also impacted the use of the TV.

There was no breakfast but none was expected. The location was interesting with both a Park and the Waikato River within easy walking distance. Some would call the area Refugee central, which made for colourful ethnic diversity as people came and went from the many apartment complexes, but also surprisingly quiet as most seemed to be empty although perhaps many were away for the long weekend to escape the concert scheduled to take place in the Park on the Sunday.

The free wifi only seemed to work on the first night when I was the only person staying after that it was either too congested by other users or switched off.

Victoria apartments is the worst accommodation I've ever stayed in. For NZD 181 it was a ripoff.

I didn't even stay at Stanley apartments, but was fobbed off with Victoria apartments. The kitchen and bathroom were disgusting. The shower is a death trap. There is no furniture in the living room except two single beds. The double bed mattress was terrible.

Comfortable and quiet but points off for check-in at another location.

Good location handy to Five Crossroads for food. Very little traffic noise. Good value with all amenities if a little shabby looking in places.

Disappointed that I did not find out until after I had booked that I had to cross the city centre to check in at another location. This is not important for a long term stay but for an overnight visit was more than annoying. To be fair the venue make this clear on their Google Maps entry but Booking.com had no mention of this on their site. This information should be right there up front, people!

Exceptional

Thank you to the boss for upgrading the order of one bedroom and one living room to two bedrooms and obe living room for free. It's very spacious for a family. The interior of the apartment motel has been renovated, although the exterior wall is a little old. The vestibule is a kitchen equipped with an oven, a microwave oven, a stove, a frying pan, soups pot and dishes. You can simply make any dishs. The living room has a new two seat sofa, a single sofa bed, a dining table and four dining chairs, which are large in space. The high-power air conditioner is still warm even at night in winter. The large bedroom is equipped with a king size bed with suitable soft, and the small bedroom is queen size. The environment is quiet and very good sleep. Surrounded by large grasslands and one park along the river, it is very suitable for hiking and various family activities. In short, it is suitable for a very comfortable and satisfying trip!
