We stayed at Casa Camelia. Property itself is very good. Relatively new with nice decor and a firm bed. The location is also good with an easy walk to the town centre and ferry terminal. However, the wifi worked poorly, and during a rain storm, not at all. This is more than just a minor inconvenience these days and was very frustrating. As well, there are two bars within a 25 metre radius which have outdoor patios. There was an unreasonable amount of noise which echo’ed into our room which kept us awake two of four nights until about 1:30AM. Obviously this is not under the control of Varenna Holidays however I would not book this suite again because of these two mentioned issues.

This was a great stay for a last minute booking we did on our trip to Lake Como. It was perfect for two people wanting to explore the general area by taking day trips. It had all the basics and felt great to walk out and be in close proximity to the ferry port, train station and places to eat. Communication was also great and we appreciated the attention from the agency. We recommend this place if you don’t have a “hotel experience” expectation.
