We travelled with my parents (and dog) plus my 2 young children to Kent for our holiday and really enjoyed our stay at Appledown. It's peaceful and has beautiful surrounding countryside which is perfect for walking the dog. It's also in easy reach of lots of peddle beaches and castles and we actually ventured a little further (broadstairs) so the kids could enjoy a sandy beach. It's perfect for anyone looking for a quiet countryside base to explore the local area.
Although there was a little welcome tray with biscuits, sugar etc (which is a lovely touch) there were just a couple of things that would have been handy to have like a few dishwasher tablets, some bin bags and salt for cooking.

Road leading to the property was very rough and had speed bumps that were very hard to recognise-no warning!
