A good place for us to stop on our jorney from the South to the North of the country.

A beautiful retreat in the Loire near Amboise

Beautiful old mill, water foaming beneath you. Very tranquil. And a sympathetic and intelligent conversion of a historic property.

One of the main roads was closed which the SatNav didn’t identify so we were late arriving!

Road trip through France with friends

Location was perfect for a quiet, relaxed stay. Rooms were enormous, could have held a dance in them!

Rooms were on second floor with only stairs for access, but this is an observation not a complaint as we knew it was a renovated old building. Evening meal was very good but a little short on quantity.

We spent a week here and we would highly recommend it.

Our host was friendly, accommodating and efficient. The room had everything we needed and most importantly the bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts and the dinners were outstanding, absolutely delicious. The location was convenient for traveling around the Loire Valley. It’s a magical place the grounds are beautiful and so peaceful and serene.

We can’t think of anything that would have made it better.

An historic building in a delightful setting with extensive grounds. Very relaxing on a warm evening. The building has a lot of original features on display. Monsieur is a welcoming host and is happy to talk about the building and its history. Madame is an excellent cook and uses local ingredients. We had dinner at Le Moulin each night. Superb meals. Madame should offer cookery lessons.

Fantastic place to stay

Pierre and Amandine was perfect hosts. Everything was amazing from arrival, the location is perfect spot to see the Loire Valley with multiple Chateau a short drive away and historic Amboise a 8 minute drive away. I recommend getting the table d'hôte, everything was delicious.

A beautiful building in a great location and overall great value for money.

This is a great quiet location near Amboise with excellent parking in a private gravelled courtyard. It is an interesting set up with guest accommodation all to the left side of the main building together with an entrance door for guests. This makes it feel almost self contained and private. The building is very well renovated and surrounded by private grounds and waterfront which again is very attractive. I liked the location a lot and was able to go for a run along the lanes around the Mill and enjoy the scenery and fantastic buildings of the Loire valley. Host was friendly and happy to give info on the area and history of the mill. Continental breakfast but everything was really fresh. I hope to stay again in the future.

ok - so these are really minor things and may be specific to me. The mill has a central old mill wheel area with water flowing through and I could hear the flow of the water in the 1st floor bedroom - but I am a light sleeper. My mother was with me and she slept perfectly. The owner asked me how I slept and I mentioned this and know that the 2nd floor rooms are less impacted so will request one of those next visit. I also like a TV in the room so I can follow the news, and tea and coffee facilities. Drinks were available on premises but you had to pay extra.

Beautiful historic B&B

The old mill is beautifully restored. Our room was large, new, and quiet. Nice rural location. Loved the antique furniture throughout the facility. Breakfast was very nice and substantial. Easy 8 minute drive into town with many choices of restaurants and shopping.

No soap for shower. Shower leaks out onto bathroom floor. would be good to have a shelf in the shower. More hangers would be good.

A beautifully restored mill in a peaceful rural setting - a very relaxing stay. Our room was spacious and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was good and was served in a lovely dining area. Parking on the premises was easy - the hotel is well situated for visiting Amboise and Tours.

Ein wunderschöner Ort in der Natur um die Seele baumeln zu lassen und zu entspannen. Freundlicher, unkomplizierter Empfang. Wunderschöne alte Mühle mit riesigem, wildem Umschwung. Vom Chef durften wir eine fachmännische Weindegustation geniessen. Das Nachtessen war sehr fein. Wer Ruhe sucht ist hier genau richtig!

Bij Pierre en Amandine is het heerlijk verblijven. De avondmaaltijden zijn prijs-kwaliteit toppers en bovendien gezond. Er is een meer dan degelijke keuze van wijnen aanwezig. Pierre is bovendien een interresante gesprekspartner. We bevelen dit verblijf ten zeerste aan.

Fabuleux !

L’accueil est extrêmement chaleureux, la maison est magnifique à l’intérieur comme à l’extérieur. On s’y sent tout de suite très bien, « comme à la maison ». Les chambres sont spacieuses et très belles, très bien équipées. Un très bon dîner ainsi qu’un délicieux et copieux petit déjeuner sont venus parfaire cette parenthèse enchantée! Et puis tout autour, les châteaux…. magique!

Wij zijn alleen maar positief. Helaas konden we geen extra nacht bij boeken maar gaan zeker nog een keer terug!
