Close proximity to many hiking trails, and also the town area; scrumptious breakfast provided every morning too! Can also opt for a tea tasting session, which is very eye-opening!

A fabulous stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Drizzle Tea. It was clean and comfortable and ideally located close to the tea field trails and Shizhuo township for transportation. John and his family were lovely, making us feel most welcome and providing us with delicious breakfasts. John was also incredibly helpful when we had questions and treated us to a tour of his family farm and the tea making process as well as a tea ceremony. We loved our stay and would wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Drizzle Tea, perhaps on your way to or from Alishan.

I would love to return to Drizzle Tea House!!! The place might look rundown from the outside, but the room was modern, clean, and well-furnished. The bed was super comfy! I was impressed by the attention to detail such as the self-designed teapot cups, the zebra blinds, the rack for hanging the towels with retractable hooks, the shoe cabinet, the wall light with the two cats etc. The person who designed the room put a lot of thought and effort to make the room comfortable and pleasant. Our room was right next to several flights of stairs that lead to the Shizhuo observation deck. We were lucky to witness the incredibly gorgeous and surreal 云海 (sea of clouds)! There are also multiple hiking trails nearby. My favourite part of the stay was the breakfast (served outside the room at 9am), which was amazing! There was a pot of freshly brewed tea waiting for us and we each had an individual breakfast tray with various small dishes including dessert. The food was simple but the ingredients were fresh and the breakfast was so cleansing and delicious! After breakfast, we partook in an optional Tea Appreciation session at 10am where we got to try 3 different types of tea grown by the owners of the guesthouse (Golden Lily, High Mountain Oolong, Small-Leaf High Mountain Black Tea). It was a great and informative experience, and we purchased a few bags as well as the teapot cups from our room! Drizzle Tea is a family-run guesthouse and the staff were friendly and helpful! We didn't drive and the guesthouse is located up a hill, followed by a long flight of stairs. We were huffing and puffing up the hill with our bags. Luckily, when we reached the office area below the stairs, the owner saw us and got his son to drive us so we did not have to lug our heavy luggage up the stairs to the property. A bonus is that the property has many cats (did not affect our sleep), I regret booking the guesthouse for only one night!

One slight inconvenience was that the shower area is on the same level as the rest of the toilet, and there is no partition. Hence, the water from showering will wet the entire bathroom. However, this is a minor issue and there are rubber slippers available.

Really great location on the tea plantation, tea ceremony, amazing breakfast with a fantastic view on the surrounding hills, close to hiking trails, easy to get to by bus from Chiayi and Alishan alike, with 10 min walk uphill - but the host can pick you up by car from the bus stop.

The room was very humid and had mold on the ceiling, window cover letting it a lot of light from the lamps which were on the whole night outside of the room (question if they could be turned off was ignored), last morning we had two cockroaches in the room. At this price point I expected more, but I guess you pay for the location.
