The property is beautifully decorated with amazing views, walking distance to town which was perfect. Breakfast provided was lovely and the use of hot tub was a bonus. We had a lovely stay here and would definitely recommend.

Brilliant

Room and amenities were impeccable. The quality and range of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and breakfast foods was superb. Loved the board games and TV fire stick option was brilliant. Was very impressed with the room, very comfortable. Bathroom was amazing, lovely towels. The quirky maximalist interior design was right up our street and bedroom views out of the world. Hot tub area was incredible and we loved the lights and blue tooth connection.

Our stay was incredible however when lint and grime was pushed through the hot tub filters was slightly off putting, might be worthwhile to just test out before guests arrive. Unfortunately the bath plug didn't retain water or open. However these factors are relatively minor to the overall great experience we had staying here.

Worth every penny

The hosts were 2 of the most lovely people I have ever met, they made me feel so safe and welcome as a first time solo female traveller. The scenery was beautiful, the hot tub was incredible. Will definitely be coming back here, couldn't recommend it enough.

Beautiful accommodation with lovely scenic views of the mountains .

The property is in a great location close to the town centre & has beautiful views of Cader Idris mountains. We stayed in the Cader Idris apartment which was so spacious, breakfast very well catered for , continental breakfast items in the room plus if you wanted cooked that was brought to your room . The building is full of quirkiness and character , with an inspiring entrance hall which was warm and welcoming . Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and our dog thoroughly enjoyed it . There are some nice restaurants in the town centre but close to Barmouth where are are plenty of places to eat & drink . All in all I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it .

Great location, great value, great owners

Our stay was perfect. Room was like a home from home, just with the added bonus of an absolutely stunning view of the mountains. The décor is perfect, the art and ornaments are in good taste. Everything was clean, tidy and well thought out. Hot tub was great; we used it for an hour of the evening, it's private and secluded from other guests. I was welcomed by Andy, who showed us about, a totally friendly and approachable guy. I warmed to the place so much that I will be returning next month for another stay and whenever I fancy a trip to N.Wales in future.

Pen Y Coed Hall is the perfect place to stay if you want peace and quiet, a good hike up Cader Idris or just to explore

The property was quirky, well furnished with lots of artwork and personal touches. Including everything you needed for a small break inc. a small fridge, microwave, toaster with bread, butter, milk etc. I loved the fact there were biscuits for your cuppa too! The hot tub was great win after a hike too. 😍

Excellent relaxing place

The location was lovely, short walk from the town . Our room was the cedar suite, beautiful room , clean and lots of extras that we didn't expect. Had a phone call a few days before arrival , just to explain the hosts were going away and a friend if theirs was looking after us, also offered us 2 bottles if wine as an apology for not having a full English breakfast, but we had bacon bags instead. The lady and her family in charge of the hotel that weekend were so welcoming , and their 2 children were adorable and had great dancing moves !! The highlight of our stay was the hot tub, we both have stressful jobs and relaxing was the aim of our stay and that is exactly what we did . Thank you so much for making our stay great. We will see you again soon. Xxxxx

Fantastic, you will not be disappointed!

Absolutely fantastic 2night stay, we were sad to leave! We had the suite with access to the hot tub. The room was huge and amazingly decorated, as was the whole house! Everything we needed was in the room. We didn’t have the cooked breakfast option on the first morning as we left super-early for Snowdon but there was so much food in the room we didn’t feel that we missed out. We had the breakfast brought to the room the next morning, and it was great. The hot tub was perfect, made even better with the glorious views(and weather!) and chatting with Andy & Serafina made us feel so happy. Would 100% recommend here, the reviews don’t do it justice.

There are no words for this property other than perfect Its quirky yet exquisite Theres nothing to dislike about this property The property is in a beautiful location and is surrounded by fantastic scenery The small quirky village less than 10 mins walk away with a handful of pubs, eateries & village shops The hall its self is just beautiful and full of character The Cader en suite room is just fabulous and is very spacious housing a 4 poster bed It oozes with extras like a window seating area and a separate breakfast table It also has a hot tub exclusive to this room The continental breakfast is set out in the room on its own dining table and has enough choice on offer There is a hot option on offer which can be prior booked and brought to your room at your desired time The proprietor was lovely and was there at hand if needed

Quirky place and fair price for what you get. More home from home than luxury.

Quirky place to stay. Continental breakfast was lovely. Hot tub was a nice addition to our room. The room was dated but clean.

Room just a miss match of decor and would be lovely if renovated. So everything matched and real plants. The plastic ones are just awful. Bed was super noisy even to breathe let alone turn over at night was noisy. The noise from the owners and pets were loud at 10pm at night and there was no mention of a cat only a dog. Even we went down to use the hot tub the cat had pooped all in front of the main door which has then been left for over and hour. Again just little things but noticeable.

Beautiful stay

Everything The room is absolutely amazing, quirky artwork. Amazing four poster bed. The view is phenomenal. Breakfast table ready in the room. The hot tub was beautiful again with a spectacular view. Serafina and Andy were so welcoming, I felt as if id known them for ages. Nothing would have been too much trouble. To say I recommend this place is an understatement and we will definitely be back.
