Phyliss was wonderful. She made me feel so welcome. All the staff were delightful. My room and bed were very comfortable and quiet.

The hotel was a feast for the senses. Great colour schemes and themes rooms. Beautiful wallpapers and decor in keeping with the style of the hotel. Very unique and individual. We loved it!
Very comfortable and honestly the best shower I’ve ever had in a hotel. It was like a spa!
Loved the quirkiness of the room. Decor and soft furnishings were sumptuous and very comfortable. Slept so well.
Grounds were stunning too.
Phyllis was very welcoming and engaging. She couldn’t do enough for us. She was great at regaling us with the history of the hotel when it had been a family home.

One of the staff at breakfast was warm and friendly and offered some helpful trip advice. A nice four post bed. Good shower.
The breakfast was not a five star boutique hotel standard. Limited selection - generally speaking please stop with the baked beans - uncomfortable seating arrangements and though subjective - terrible coffee. The staff on arrival were, to be polite overly familiar and not what one should expect from any quality establishment.
A bath in the main bedroom -kinky but not my taste and I had no idea. The general design layout was poor. Open shower, and enclosed toilet, separate and directly behind the bed. Sink open outside the toilet. Lack of space to put your things or to move around really due to the poor arrangement of the facilities. Clean- but there was sawdust were remedial work had be done. The lighting was unfathomable. Nothing horrible really, just little niggles that can spoil a stay.
