Short stay leaving long and happy memories.
Wonderful, characterful rooms throughout the hotel. Individual designs and many of the fittings carried out by the owners and family members. Superb cooked breakfast. Superb staff who gave their time and shared some history of the building and previous uses. Loved our time here.
Unfortunately, the dining room was not open on the day we stayed, so check that when booking. We did know in advance and it was not a problem.

Lovely place shame about the food and drink not being available. But we will try again.
Restaurant and bar are closed on a Sunday evening, it’s run by an outside contractor and not under the control of the hotel which was very disappointing, if we’d known we wouldn’t have booked for a Sunday night stay. We will book again but not on a Sunday it’s something guests should be made aware of before booking

Perfect escape - suites are gorgeous
Just perfect, nestled out of the way in lively grounds it was the perfect escape, there was such a cute little sweet station you could help yourself too and the room was gorgeous! One of those places where it’s actually even better than the picture. We are already planning our next trip.
