Whether you’re here for skiing, mountain biking, or simply relaxing, you’ll find adventure and comfort just steps away.
**Location & Activities**
* Walk to the slopes for winter skiing or summer mountain biking, both with lift access.
* Explore nearby Banner Elk (5 minutes) and Beech Mountain (20 minutes) for unique dining and local attractions.
* Experience the vibrant fall colors—peak foliage is the first two weeks of October.
* Enjoy a variety of activities: hiking, fishing, whitewater rafting, gem mining, zip lining, mountain coaster, golf, shopping, and Appalachian State University events.
**Resort Amenities**
* Relax in the indoor pool, hot tubs, sauna, steam room, or work out in the fitness center.

This unit is great! I’ve stayed at numerous properties with VRBO and this is by far the one with all expectations met and then-some.
More than ample supplies, kitchen equipment, new large appliances and awesome entertainment options.
Our host was on top of check in and check out and luckily we had no reason to contact him during our stay.

Our first time to sugar mountain and we loved it! Great view of the mountain, unless the clouds rolled in. Cute towns nearby with beautiful hiking trails. Only downside is, with all the slushy ice, we couldn’t wash our clothes. Owner was very accommodating in sending extra towels for all of us though! Very prompt responses to our questions.
