Un balcon sur les toits d'Aix

The place is on the smaller side but good enough for 2 friends as long as someone is ok sleeping on the sofa bed. The location is great, right in the center of the action and it was easy access to walk around town and a short walk to the train station. Equipped kitchen was very useful since we did cook at home sometimes. Also useful to have heaters in all the rooms. Communication with the host was smooth. There are some useful books and resources in the flat about the town and the terrace is lovely when the sun is out.

The toilet is very small so your knees are almost touching the door when closed which was less comfortable and the shower pressure was terrible. The water was hot but it's just a trickle so that should really be improved. Other than that 25 euros for extra bedding seemed excessive and something we only realised after the booking was made. The apartment is on the top floor so there are a lot of stairs with no lift but we didn't mind so much since our luggage was small and it was good exercise. Since we needed to throw the garbage out it also would've been nice to have a few extra garbage bags. And I found opening the main door downstairs tricky with the keys so it always took me a couple of minutes.

Un peu de jeu dans le robinet de la salle de bain et peu de pression dans le pommeau de douche sinon tout était bien.

Prima Lage, Raum und Ausstattung sehr angenehm.

Enges Treppenhaus macht das Kofferschleppen etwas anstrengend.

The location was superb - just off the Cours Mirabeau and very near to a lovely bread shop and small supermarket. Also a very good location for the Aix markets. We visited in March when the weather was cool - the heating in the flat was very good and there is air conditioning for the summer weather.

Although we gave details of our arrival time there was no one there to meet us. After 'phoning the manager her husband arrived to let us in. It was a good job the cafe opposite was open as we waited 20 minutes. The shower was almost unusable. The shower was over the bath and was dangerously slippy. When this was pointed out to the manager there was no offer to supply a non-slip mat. After we suggested it, an additional hand towel was offerred to stand on in the bath. The shower head would not stay up so was very inconvenient to use. There were no kitchen knives or bread knife. Only one tea towel was in the flat for our week's stay. The manager provided 2 additional towels after we expressed surprise that one would be adequate. The TV remote did not have batteries and the one supplied by the manager would not work with the make of TV in the flat. The balcony was nothing special. Although this seems to be critical of the flat, both the manager and her husband seemed to be very nice people. We were fully aware that the flat is up 4 long flights of stairs (lovely high ceiling rooms) but it did make us think twice about several trips out during the day!
