Eleni's Guesthouse

Sits in middle of paleokastritsa so central to everything. Very modern facilities without losing any charm. Stayed in loft 1, gorgeous balcony, comfy bed, all mod cons and everything you need for SC holiday. 5 mins walk to gorgeous beach with beach club, boat trips, restaurants etc. Gorgeous views from accommodation, restaurants and beach. This place is a little bit of paradise. Hosts were very helpful. I would return to this appt and resort.

Its about 40mins from airport so would advise private transfer which Eleni arranged for us (50 euros). Need to walk on roads as no pavements but traffic very mindful of this.

Property and owner of property were both excellent! Clean, good location, overall great!

I loved the location in a quiet area of paleokastritsa nearby restaurants and supermarkets. I loved the comfort of the loft. It felt safe and comfortable. The AC was great in the heat and I liked that the owners left games to play

My only complaint is that there’s a lot of ants on the balcony and at one point there was a big trail of hundreds of ants. It put me off using the balcony which was the point of booking the loft so I felt a little disappointed here

Maria was likeable, responsive, and clearly puts effort into managing things efficiently. However, guests should be aware that access to the property depends on sending a photo of your passport or ID via WhatsApp before check-in. This requirement was not disclosed in advance and left us with no real choice but to comply in order to avoid sleeping outside. While the intention may be practical, this process is not compliant with EU data-protection law (GDPR) and exposes guests to unnecessary privacy and security risks. It is effectively coercive — you must transmit sensitive personal data through an insecure channel to receive the entry code. Although Maria herself appears trustworthy, the practice of small business owners collecting and storing ID copies creates a moral hazard for misuse — comparable to leaving carbon copies of credit-card transactions behind. Booking.com was informed but provided no meaningful support, citing a non-existent “property policy.” This indicates a serious compliance issue. In short: a pleasant and well-kept place, but with significant concerns regarding privacy, transparency, and lawful data handling. Future guests should be informed of these practices before booking.
