Lovely designed and comfortable old townhouse with nice sitting out area and hot tub.
Great location as Morpeth town centre is in walking distance.
House is on a main busy road so traffic noise can be an issue and family wise safety is a concern as the front door needs to be kept locked.
Also not family friendly in regards to steep stairs with no handrail / baby gate, no soft furnishings on floor for younger kids to sit and broken bar stools with no backs only form of sitting down for meals provided.
We also had an issue with very strong smelling laundered sheets / pillows etc and couldn’t contact owners to see if any spares. Appreciate this might be a one off problem though.

The house was lovely loved the decor
Hot tub was lush
The neighbours who lived next door where horrible, my little boy is not even 2 has broke his shin, and has a leg cast on, and was crying outside in the garden, the neighbours to the left of us, shouted through the fence “can you shut the fuck up, we have visitors and we live here” I asked if she was talking to me and they continued to chat amongst themselves, not a nice experience when he is in a lot of pain ! And is still a baby !

Location for basecamp.
Lovey main bedroom with bath.
Nice kitchen with island for dining.
Parking is awful. Lack of response from owners on several important queries was worrying, especially when it concerned leaving the door unlocked due to a lockbox issue. Gave the impression that they didn't care about the possibility of anyone walking into the property. Not great when you have young children staying. Multiple text messages not responded to.
Loud neighbours in Rose Cottage and zero privacy when in hot tub as said neighbours could see straight in.

The location is good for walking into Morpeth.
The car parking was a pain every day.
The WiFi is shared with the property next door so doesn't work upstairs which means no TV upstairs.
Only half the jets in the Hot tub work.
The Hot water was intermittent, it went from hot to cold to v.hot in the shower every time.
The mattress in the main bedroom is saggy/lumpy/uncomfortable and needs replacing.
The towels and bedding were washed in something incredibly powerful as the smell was overwhelming.
It is not unclean but definitely not exceptional, dust on the shelves, stone floor dirty to the point your feet were black after walking about on it. Crumbs in the cutlery draw. Cobwebs in most corners.
The host was not helpful regarding the WiFi/TV issues and didn't acknowledge the other issues I raised, hence this honest review. The property in its current state would get a 5 out of 10 and is not worth the premium prices they charge in my opinion.

Morpeth is a lovely and lively Northumberland village with everything at your fingertips. The house itself has brilliantly quirky decor, and for the most part, is well equipped for wine and nibbles on the lovely rear decking, with a great entertaining area and a hot tub. Good location for visiting all Northumberland has to offer, including Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Lindisfarne and Bamburgh castles. Check the tide times before venturing out to Lindisfarne. A great way to spend half a day.
There were odd gaps in what was supplied in the kitchen. For example, there were many different types of wine glasses and champagne flutes, but only 3 tumblers for regular drinks. There is nowhere comfortable to sit and eat a meal. The small diameter wooden bar stools do not make for comfortable dining. The alternative is eating outside on the deck, which very much depends on the weather.
The parking, while free with the supplied parking permit, was difficult to obtain and on the main road through the village, às is tha house. We were lucky to find a single available space within residential permit zone, and were once forced to park in short/long stay carpark about half a mile away. The closest parking was still about 100 yards from the house. In short, it doesn't suit people with mobility issues, or young families. The road noise outside the bedroom which fronts on to the main road out front was also intrusive.

Dead easy. Got emailed key safe code on the day.
Parking wasn’t great. Permit was given but sometimes no spaces. We also had two cars as it was 3 bed house. Host was really good and replied instantly with any issues. Host can’t do much about parking- property was lovely!

Everything!
Maybe a bit to much chlorine in hot tub

Beautiful property. Very clean and well equipped. Hot tub was lovely and relaxing.
Parking is limited but didn’t cause too much of a problem. This is due to being so close to Morpeth centre which is a short walk away so once parked we didn’t move car.

The house was beautiful, very clean, very well decorated and furnished. It was in a nice location, nice private garden, 5 minute walk away from the centre and also a quick walk to supermarket and pubs. The owner was very easy to reach when we had an issue and did try and sort it out as soon as possoble.
The only thing I would say for future guests would be that there wasnt really anywhere to put clothing for more than a day or 2 so we were living out of our cases. We did have a leaky shower also but that was just something that happened and the owner tried to get that sorted out asap she had someone call round within the hour. Also there didnt appear to be any chemicals to clean the water in the hot tub, which I would have liked to have been as we were there for 3 days, but im sure if requested the owner may leave this for future guests.

There was nothing we didn't like.

The house was easy to locate and just a short walk to the shops. It's beautifully decorated with huge comfy sofas and a well equipped kitchen opening up to the garden with a lovely hot tub. We enjoyed the outdoor space and found all the beds to be super comfy! I'd definitely recommend and I am sure we'll be back.
There is no allocated parking space but you do get an M5 residents pass so you can park down the street for free if there is a space.

Stunning cottage. No expense has been spared with the decor and beautiful finishing touches. That copper bath is amazing! The bed in the master room is so comfy and slept great. Nice touch with the welcome bottle of fizz too. Hot tub was perfect even in the cold weather. Have since found them on Instagram and the refurb video for the master bedroom and kitchen just show you how much attention to detail there has been. Loved the high street shops too. Some great places to visit. Highly recommended
Nothing! We loved every minute there. Wish we had a few more days

Immaculate and beautiful house, will definitely be going again. Loved the copper bath and decor, it was perfect.
I was informed in advance so it's no issue but parking could be a bit tricky on occasion as its not available at the property.
