The Lodge is very well kept, we stay in a number of these style of lodges each year and you could really tell that the owners looked after it. The lodge is very welcoming and homely and benefits from good internet access. The balcony backs off onto a large pond and views to pendle hill, there is a nice leisurely stroll around the big lake and site is very quiet. The owners left a few drinks and sweets to enjoy and had put up the christmas decorations which was a great bonus. We will look to return when we need a short weekend away.
This is being a little harsh but if I must answer, the Lodge was a little difficult to find based on the directions, as you turn left the lodge is indeed in front of you but sits with the back of the lodge in view and no way to identify it from the road side of the property, we spent several minutes walking around trying to find the correct lodge.

Wow wow wow what a beautiful place to stay . The lodge was cleaned to a very high standard, attention to detail was perfect , a very thoughtful welcome basket was much appreciated, the view was amazing . The host was very kind and helpful, we had a lovely relaxing few days, can't wait to go back 😊
