This is an exceptional property which has been beautifully decorated, was wonderfully clean and, as we visited in December, had some tasteful and thoughtful Christmas touches, including a tree. We found everything we needed and enjoyed the space as a family with two teenagers.

The house is immaculate! You can see the castle from the windows in the top bedroom. It was so comfortable. This was a last minute booking due to a different accommodation falling through, and she could not of been more accommodating! Perfect stay from start to end!

A quiet road, easy parking for the 2 cars we had with us. The house was well stocked, with instructions for where to find everything. Under 10 minute walk to the supermarket and into town and a great taxi company recommended by the host. Rooms were a great size and very comfortable.

It was in a central location but on a quiet street. There was plenty of parking outside the property.
The property had 3 double rooms which were all spacious. It was exceptionally clean, to a really high standard. Sarah was great at communicating with us prior to the visit and during. The property had lots of amenities available to use and had all the essentials required for a comfortable, and enjoyable, stay. There were also lots of small touches that we liked such as a pint of milk in the fridge for a morning coffee! (So thank you Sarah!).
There were smart TV’s in the house and the shower was good quality and worked well. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again.
Only one minor thing (and it’s from a female perspective!), there was only one full length mirror in one of the bedrooms.

it was a lovely home everything you could ask for on a holiday home clean and spacious and very close to the town centre

Everything. The location - 5 minutes stroll from the town centre, train station, etc. We had a lovely stroll from the house down a quiet lane, along the river to Edisford, and back via the Castle gardens - with a nip into Holmes Mill to sample their wares. The decoration was fabulous, giving my wife ideas (maybe thats a negative as I now have to decorate our lounge - lol.). The chairs, sofas, and beds were very comfy. The wifi was excellent (as one of us was still working when he arrived) and the TV in the back room had Netflix, Prime, etc on it - I can't vouch for the other rooms, but there were TVs in most rooms. The kitchen was very well equipped with those little extras to get a holiday off to a good start (milk, butter, a loaf in the freezer, teabags, even filter coffee.) The shower was superb - hot and powerful, and the towels were full bath towels that wrap all around to scoot back to the bedroom with modesty. The rear yard is a good size; simple, tidy and would be lovely place to sit with a coffee in warmer times as the sun rises on a new day of exploration around this lovely town. We had no dog with us, but there were dog bowls available.
If I really wanted to find something (and this is a mere personal choice), the front lounge wasnt big enough for 5 of us to gather in - it only had 3 seats. The back room had one sofa, dining table & chairs. Se we had to either sit around the dining table or split up. We personally would have put the dining table in the front (smaller room) and then the sofas and chair would be in the bigger back room. Saying that, we were only here for 2 nights, the dining chairs were comfortable, and with the town and strolls down and along the river so close we were not in the house that much.

The house is like a home from home. Beautifully decorated, warm, quiet, well equipped and very clean. The owner left milk, tea bags, coffee and butter for us as well as shampoo, shower gel etc. Highly recommended
If there’s any comment it would be that it would have been nice to have an extra loo but it didn’t really matter

Everything, clean, impeccably decorated, lots of lovely touches and furnishings. Not far from the centre of Clitheroe.
Nothing, could do with more knives in the cutlery drawer and update the facilities information to reflect that toiletries & basic food supplies are provided e.g. oil, tea, Salt etc
