Cheap and no frills, great if you’re going to be out the entire day.

Cheap. More or less clean. Towels changed upon request. Laundry done for 60B/kg. Had dinner there once, it was fine. Owners are usually around to help with anything. Rented a scooter from a company called billy which includes free luggage drop off and pick up. Would highly recommend.

They could offer a room cleaning after 3 or 4 days. Host pretty unresponsive on WhatsApp and booking.com messaging.

Wonderful garden place

It’s a wonderful place on this island, the localization is nice in the garden, near to the beach (10 minutes walking). Maitree and his wife are very kind people, helpfulness and their kitchen is local, with their garden products! The little swimming pool is very nice after a sunny day. Unforgettable moment with them!

Lovely - I will come back for sure!

Mia and Zea are wonderful people. They really took care of me while I stayed at their bungalow for almost three weeks. When I left for two days, I could leave my luggage at their place, which was really kind. Mia is an excellent cook, I tried a lot of different dishes and I always liked it. I did a cooking class as well. The Six Senses Beach is in 10-15 minutes walking distance and one of the best beaches on the island. Sometimes there are no other people around - and that happened in February! When you go back in the late afternoon, you should definitely use mosquito repellent - these mosquitoes are the only annoying thing on the island. I had to work on my computer a lot, there is a table with one chair at each bungalow. The WiFi is good enough to do normal computer work. You can always go in the restaurant with best internet connections and AC if you want. The island is calm and not touristy, which is amazing. I hope it stays like that forever.

It gets very warm in the bungalow during the day, you cannot stay inside. But the good thing is that it cools down during the night very well, so I always had a very good sleep!

The bed was really bizarre, no bedding only what looked like a mattress protector, we did feel an inconvenience to staff when trying to ask something.

I 100% adored this place!

I absolutely loved this place and miss it already! Such a lovely and cozy bungalow with greenery all around and sounds of nature at night. Great price-quality ratio! Shops and plenty of affordable restaurants are nearby, as well as a neglected viewpoint, where I saw dozens of hornbills. Note that there are only fans in the room and no aircons, so it gets very hot during the day. That was not a problem for me however, since in was exploring the island or sitting on the porch at daytime.

Sweet, minimal, bungalow, with kind owners.

Owner is truly amazing, I had a motor bike accident while staying at his property and he checked in on me, and helped me out. Also had an early boat ride back to Phuket, and he woke up early, made sure I was awake, and arranged a taxi for me.

If you are not used to little bugs, not the best. Harmless bugs, but bring bug spray! No air conditioning, but that was expected. Cannot be inside in the day time but the night is totally ok with no A/C

Beautiful place to stay!

The location was stunning, the bungalow beautiful and close to the pool, surrounded by plants and flowers. It was very easy to rent a scooter from the property thank you the owner and the property's kitchen served really good food. Would recommend!

Very good

when we arrived the owner gave us a free upgrade to an alternative accommodation a bit further down the road - at Hill House resort - which he drove us to in his tuk tuk. so this review is for that wooden bungalow, not actually Lok Mun. We really enjoyed our stay there at the charming, rustic feeling but well equipped bungalow. We particularly loved the shady balcony area with hammock, from which we were able to spot some hornbills. Hot shower and good quality mosquito net - there were also mosquito coils and plug in provided. Recommend the food at Tha Khao Bay View restaurant, just two minute walk away.

We were a bit disappointed that the owner didn’t tell us that use of the herbal sauna was not free for guests - which we had assumed based on other reviews here. He gave us a big tour and explained about it, but only once we had used it did we find out we had to pay (350 baht per person).

Nice location on the ‘hill’ between two beach areas. I think it would be essential to have motor. the owner was able to get me a motor within 30 min of my arrival There is a restaurant on site, I did not try it, but always seemed busy. The bungalows are very comfortable-good bed, big space, lots of storage possibilities, efficient fan, big porch. It looks like they have been recently refurbished - everything is in great shape.

My favourite place up until now. The bungalow was so nice and spacious, provided a fridge and small countertop with cutlery and dishes. The porch was lovely to hang out on and do some yoga. I had a lovely cooking class with the owners and they gave me fruit and were all around lovely (and offered to drive me to the pier when I left). I didn't even try out the pool and sauna but it looked very nice.

The only thing is to maybe add a moskito net. The windows and doors have screen but one still found its way into my bungalow and I couldn't catch it. Everything else was perfect!

sincere, enjoyable, safe, island life, chill and ideal. my expectations were low and my bungalow blew them away. great value, nice compound. simple yet wonderful. a six minute walk to one of the best, least traveled beaches on the island. plus koh yai noi is easily one of the safest, least dangerous places in thailand. except for the sunburn!! highly recommend. great deal for my stay and autonomy. now i am in a gritty city it seems like a dream.

Lok Mun is an exceptional place. I really felt at home there. It was a wonderful time to replenish, relax and take a break from hopping from one hostel to another on a backpacker's schedule. At Lok Mun they do a herbal sauna, cooking classes and they serve delicious, home-made food. The owners are very helpful and sweet. The bungalow was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended!

I book a bungalow with WIfi and first of all the owner try to rent me a bungalow with no Wifi. There is no aircom - for the price nothing to said - but bungalow are not colded by seewind so in afternoon you can't stay in. Too Hot.

Great value accommodation in a beautiful setting.

Sai & Mia are such wonderful hosts - friendly, attentive and thoughtful - they never seem to stop working. Lokmun bungalows are located in amongst beautifully maintained gardens, overlooking a lake, so there’s plenty of opportunities to spot the abundant local wildlife. During our stay we saw hornbills, numerous kinds of birds, butterflies and lizards, and on a couple of evenings were treated to a display of fireflies whilst playing cards on our balcony. The restaurant is excellent value and serves local and western dishes all day. Their coffee, breakfast, soups and curries are particularly good. Much of the fruit and veg comes straight from their garden and you can really taste it. There’s a handful of local beaches 10-15 min walk away and the waterfall (although pretty much dried out at the moment) provides a good spot for wildlife watching and a mini jungle trek. Another plus point is that Sai has his own small boat which we took out for a morning and he showed us some of his favourite local islands. We visited the more well known ones such as Hong island and the lagoon, but also completely deserted tiny islands which would be inaccessible by larger boats. This meant we got in some excellent snorkeling away from hustle and bustle of the busier destinations.

Nothing. The bungalows are a bit basic (no aircon or frills) but the bed was really comfy and the two fans and mosquito netted side windows provided more than enough air to keep cool. Definitely the best value place we’ve stayed during our trip.

It’s a really nice bungalow in between a lot of trees and plants. The owners are super friendly and we felt really comfy staying at Lok Mun. It was one of our best stays. Definitely recommendable! The area is quite calm but you can always rent a motor bike to get around.

Skønne værter og autentisk og jordnær oplevelse!

Et rigtig dejligt homestay med nogle skønne og meget søde værter! Vi nød vores tid her, selvom jeg ikke vil anbefale at man booker hvis man er bange for kryb/insekter. Selve bungalows var helt udemærket og med myggenet i dør og vinduer, vi havde dog stadig besøg af et par biller, en kakerlak og selvfølgelig en masse gekkoer. Haven var skøn og der var generelt god stemning! Maden lavet i køkkenet er lækkert og vi spiste her flere gange! Vi var også rigtig glade for morgenmaden - alt blev lavet on demand og var friskt og lækkert. Vi lejede også en knallert af de søde værter (nødvendigt på denne ø) og fik også dem til at booke transport og båd videre, for os. Kæmpe anbefaling til rejsende på budget og som værdsætter autenticitet - god værdi for pengene!

Vi var i starten lidt udfordret grundet varmen (ingen aircon) men vænnede os til dette. Desuden blev det overraskende køligt i løbet af natten.

Ein separater Bungalow für sich mit eigenem Bad, funktionierender Klimaanlage und Ventilator (wichtig wegen der Mücken). Es gab zum Glück Roller zu mieten, um so die Umgebung gut erkunden zu können. Zu Fuß aus wäre man sehr eingeschränkt (Busse/Taxi/Co eher nicht so leicht zu bekommen, kein Grab/Bolt).

Den Pool haben wir nicht genutzt.

La chambre était sale, les toilettes bouchées. On a du demander 2 fois à la femme de ménage de repasser. Piscine toute verte. Dommage il y a tout pour que ce soit top.

Fantastische keuze voor een authentiek verblijf

Ontzettend lieve mensen die erg hun best voor je doen zonder opdringerig te zijn. Ze regelen graag de boottocht en taxi voor je. Het eten is heerlijk, veel keuze voor zowel ontbijt als lunch/diner. De omgeving is mooi, wel een scooter nodig. De bungalowtjes zijn simpel maar schoon en met goede bedden en een fijn eigen terrasje met tafeltje, stoelen en hangmat. De tuin is prachtig.

Nous avons passé un super moment chez Mia et Maitree, très serviables, à l'écoute et disponibles. Tout est impeccable et harmonieux : le jardin et la piscine sont très bien entretenus, le bungalow avec sa terrasse extérieure est très agréable et très propre... un petit coin de paradis en pleine nature, dans une île tellement attachante où il fait bon vivre. Sans oublier l'excellente cuisine de Mia que nous avons appréciée tous les soirs !

Je recommande vivement cet établissement. Nous y avons séjourné 3 jours. Un petit coin de paradis au calme. C’est magnifique. Le personnel est sympa, la cuisine très bonne ! Ce lieu loin des touristes est à faire si vous êtes de passage dans le coin! Il n’y a pas de climatisation mais les ventilateurs sont suffisant, nous n’avons pas eu trop chaud (mi décembre). Il est possible de louer un scooteur (250bath/journée) ou des vélos ce qui rend agréable la visite de l’île. Les plages y sont magnifiques

Le bungalow pourrait être un peu plus propre, toutefois pour le rapport qualité prix c’est ok.

Un petit coin de paradis authentique, avec les bruits de la jungle en compagnie. Plusieurs ventilateurs a disposition, on arrive facilement a se passer de la clim, c'est même plus agréable. Vous pouvez louer directement des scooters auprès de l'hôtel pour 250bth/jour, et faire des lessives pour 60bth/1kg. Le propriétaire et son équipe sont supers gentils.
