Shower flow was great. Unit was reasonably clean for a beach property. Proximity to beach was great. Bed was comfortable (not too firm).
A few items in the unit could be repaired or updated. Door lock did not seem very secure. A good kick could probably break the deadbolt out of the doorjam. Didn't help that the strike plate was loose. Maybe a chain could be added for extra security. There didn't appear to be a way to lock the sliding door that exits to the beach from the outside (looked around for a key but couldn't find one). Had to lock from the inside, exit out the front, and walk around. During heavy rain, the water pours down right in front of the door. Gutters would be a nice touch. Communication about check-in process could have been better. I may have missed it since booking was last-minute and we were on the road when texts and emails were being sent, but we were able to enter the unit (door code had been sent) without "properly" checking in at the guard shack. However, the gate code that was sent via email didn't work since it was an out-of-date code that was sent for some reason. Got the correct gate code from the guard after checking in "properly".
