Chalet Plein Centre - Savoyard Moderne - Happy Rentals

This is a very nice, spacious property located down a little path in the centre. It is not accessible by car, however, the car park was nearby and we never had an issue finding a spot. We enjoyed not having any cars around. There is a cute patio just off the kitchen area with views of the mountains. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was also good. We liked Argentière and can recommend the cafe Tête-à-Thé and the restaurant La P'tite Verte. The agency managing the place was prompt with their communication and quickly resolved an issue we had. We went there to hike and there is excellent and varied hiking all around.

We thought the accommodation was only superfically clean. We keep our home extremely clean and as such, we have high standards when paying for accommodation. In our opinion, it can use a deep clean though I'm sure for many people, it would be absolutely fine. As someone else mentioned, we felt that there were too many personal items of the owners and that makes it feel like you are staying in someone's holiday home rather than a rental property. The patio chairs outside could use replacing as they were quite wobbly. Finally, we were there during a heat wave and after a day of hiking mountains, we found that the bedroom where we slept on the upper level was extremely hot and stuffy and made sleeping difficult. This is partly due to the fact that the large windows only open a small amount for safety reasons so you can't get any air flow. I would recommend that a high-quality fan is provided for future guests to make the hot days and nights more bearable.
