Our stay at Holly House was wonderful!
Fantastic communication and support from the hosts from start to finish
Perfect accommodation for 4 adults and 2 teenagers between the main house and two studio bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The fourth room in the house for 2 children was also a lovely room.
Beautiful Portuguese interiors but with a modern twist! We loved all the paintings and furnishings and the stunning staircase!
Large beautiful garden, bigger than the photos suggest and good sized pool with stunning views of the river and surrounding fields!
Half an hour walk into local town Vila das Artes which had a wonderful contemporary art gallery, several large supermarkets and cafes / restaurants.
One of our highlights was a walk to the iron age fort of Lovelhe and then onto the riverside café which looks over to Spain.
Only two small things could have improved our stay – more baking trays and utensils, as we love to cook, and the curtains in the studio off the main house are very light so if you prefer a darker room to sleep in you may want to switch with one of the others!
Otherwise everything was perfect! We hope to come back soon!
