La Tour du Capitole, cocoon insolite dans Toulouse

Tout était magnifique et notamment une architecture exceptionnelle qui a traversé les siècles (XVe siècle) avec une vue de Toulouse à 360°. En plus d'une propreté impeccable, l'aménagement intérieur est très bien pensé et fonctionnel notamment l'espace salon-cuisine. Il ne manque vraiment rien dans cette tour. La chambre est très cocooning avec une literie de qualité et la salle de bain ne manque pas d'originalité avec un superbe plafond tout en voûte et en brique rose de la région ainsi que dans la chambre. Je recommande vivement ce lieu insolite chargé d'histoires.

Superb location in a beautifully restored building.

For awareness to others looking to book the property lists as having air conditioning which unfortunately it didn’t, there is one fan in the bedroom only. It also listed as having a fully equipped kitchen but there was no washing machine, dishwasher, break knife or dinner plates. Of course being in France you want to enjoy a bottle of wine but there also was no corkscrew. Tried also to contact host on a couple of occasions but received no reply until checkout time.

Great stay in a historic apartment in the heart of Toulouse We spent two days in Toulouse and were very pleased with this accommodation. The Welcome: Check-in was smooth and welcoming. Sylvie greeted us personally, took the time to explain everything, and even surprised us with a bottle of champagne as a welcome gift—a very nice touch. The Apartment: The apartment offers a lot of historic charm and was perfectly clean and surprisingly quiet. It is an antique medieval flat split across three levels, connected by a unique but quite steep staircase: First level: A functional bathroom equipped with a shower and toilet. Second level: A cozy bedroom featuring a comfortable French double bed. Third level: A small, well-equipped living room and kitchen area complete with a refrigerator, microwave, and all the necessary utilities, boasting a beautiful, panoramic 360-degree view overlooking the old town. Even though it was over 30°C outside and there is no air conditioning, the thick medieval walls, along with a provided Dyson air cooler, kept the indoor temperature manageable and bearable. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was very good, which is impressive for a historic building with thick walls. The Location & Transit: The location is ideal, right in the city center. Excellent restaurants, great shopping, and major sights (including the sightseeing bus) are just around the corner. The Esquirol metro station is also just a few minutes away on foot, making public transit very convenient. Parking: Handling the car was very straightforward. We were able to stop briefly near the apartment to unload our luggage, and then parked the car in the public "Esquirol" parking garage, which is just a 4-minute walk south of the apartment and costs around €25–€30 per day. Conclusion: Nothing to complain about. Both the city and the apartment are highly recommended if you are fit enough for the steep stairs, have a good balance to avoid any falls, and travel light.
