Beautiful converted one bedroom apartment

Our stay was superb. The location, ease of access from the airport bus stop (+/- 150m) and nearby parking were all excellent. The apartment is literally 25m from the lawned bank of the River Aude and within (+/- 100m) of the old footbridge up to the historic city. The property is full of character and charm and is predominantly a B&B with a lower ground apartment. There is a lovely, quaint, sheltered garden to the rear where a table is reserved for the apartment at breakfast if you do not want to eat in. The apartment has direct access up 5 or so steps, for others the garden is accessed via breakfast room. It felt like our private garden as we were the only ones using it. The apartment is extremely spacious for two people and extremely well appointed in all respects. The recommended Agape restaurant (+/- 75m) away lived up to expectations but we needed to book - note they do a six course tasting menu in the evening and are not open at weekends (in May) After booking we had great communication with the owners and met Rachael at the property who was charming.

Not flooded with daylight, but it is a lower ground floor but the garden was a bonus.
