Not pleasant! Too many major issues with two different units and no response and no refund.

The location was great! The Units were very cute but we had too many major issues. (Water leaks in two units). Our first unit was not clean and smelled musty when we arrived. Staff arrived promptly and let us know they had a water leak issue and offered to get us another unit. However, that unit wouldn’t be ready for an hour and a half because it needed cleaning. Not a problem because we could go to eat and switch units once we returned. Great!! So we thought. We returned, switch units and slept well that evening. However, following day when trying to heat up left overs the microwave would not open properly; therefore we could not heat up our food and did not feel that the microwave was safe to use. In addition while trying to relax and watch tv in the living room we discovered that there was a leak in that unit. The sofa as well as the pillows on the sofa were very wet. We ended up putting a pot on the sofa in order to catch the water. I sent a message about this issue immediately since it was a major issue but still have not received any response about it. Two other issues, minor in comparison to the above but definitely need to be addressed, master bedroom had no remote control for the television and the lock on the front door handle sticks making it difficult to get into the unit. We decided to just use the deadbolt because we were afraid of getting locked out.

As mentioned above the location was great and the unit(s) were cute. The cleaning staff initially showed up promptly when we had an issue with the first unit but all other issues went unresolved.

Perfect small apartment for a short stay.

The location was perfect for accessing the convention center. The apartment was nice, clean and spacious. I appreciated all the little amenities: toothbrush/paste if needed, laundry detergent/fabric softener, coffee/tea bar, etc. The living space was nice, but due to conference engagements, I did not spend much time in the apartment.

The only downside for me was that the bed wasn't the most comfortable.

Conversation was very bad (e.g. used wrong name, never confirmed our booking, told us we can check-out at 12.30pm but at the day of check-out informed us to leave by 10am), parts of the flat were not cleaned well (e.g. bed linen was dirty, bathroom/ shower full with hairs). At least after contacting the manager wrt cleaning, a nice women came to clean the bathroom and but new linen - nevertheless for the money we paid that should not happen

Painless and simple in a nice part of town with easy access to all we needed including the lakeside.

Great location, easy access to the conference centre and also the lakeside. Clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed for a business stay. The host was really helpful on arrival with issues around key availability.

Parking was expensive and a little clunky to book, but I understand this was not the host's fault.

Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. A large selection of tea, ground coffee, dishes in the kitchen. There are even baking molds. The only thing in the bathroom was liquid soap. I wanted it in pieces.

Great location , real crappy communication. Miserable stay because it was almost 80° in the apartment the entire time.

Location and that’s it

The apartment is very nice . The description actually said two sofa beds and a king size bed. Actual apartment has a blowup mattress, a sofa, bed and a king size bed. You cannot get in contact with anyone the air did not work the two days that we were there. It was 77 to 78° both days. I got one message that said I’m sending the maintenance man over. Are you there? I was in town for a concert that I was standing in line for so I couldn’t leave. No one ever got back to me. I wrote them and said that I spent $400 a night on this place and I had to open the main door so the cool air from the hallway could cool off my apartment. No one ever got back to me. I would never stay here again the location perfect. Also they sent me my checking out message a day early . Still no response by anyone when I was trying to confirm I still had another day.

Perfect place for what we were in town for

I loved the decor and how it had everything we needed in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable as well as the couch. It was also away from the crowded areas and was walking distance to Soldier Field.

The only thing it didn’t have was enough towels for 3 people to shower each day. There were also times when smoke and weed smell came into the apartment from outside. Having to pay extra for parking was also a downer.

The host was very accommodating and the location was very convenient to McCormick Place for the volleyball tournament we were attending. Once we parked, we were able to walk the remainder of the weekend to and from the convention center.

The location is directly across from the Wintrust Center and there were concerts Friday and Saturday evening creating a little additional noise.

The place was so nice and inviting. Super clean and cozy. It was so much nicer than just staying at a hotel and I will for sure try to stay again if I'm in the area.

I just wish we had 2 keys. It made it difficult for my friend and I to go anywhere without the other.

The decor, comfortable bed and couch nice high ceilings very clean

Front door would jam and difficult to get in … the second door was fine. The lobby was constantly littered with packages. Sometimes we had to step around them. The bed needs nightstands with plugs, maybe lamps. Would be nice if we had a couple laundry pods. Would be nice if we had a sheet of paper with TV Instructions couldn’t find normal 247 local channels and how it worked was not clear.

Good base to explore Chicago

Spacious "loft style" apartment on the ground floor of this former battery factory. One double bedroom with ample storage and sofa. Twin bedded room is partially open to the living area, therefore not soundproof. We also used the sofa bed, which worked well. Small supermarket on the same block was good for breakfasts/snacks.

Being on the ground floor was convenient, though no views to speak of. Loft style ductwork was a little noisy with water/ventilation. Lockbox instructions were only provided during the day of arrival by which time we were flying. On landing I could not access my mobile phone, and therefore struggled to access the lockbox instructions. If these could have been provided by 10am on the morning of arrival then this wouldn't have been an issue.

Property itself is really nice. A lot of amenities inside. Wood ceiling left really nice experience and wifi was really fast. In general you have everything you need for a short stay

Property didn't check availability of keys in the the locker. Also, my booking was confused. It was solved fast though and I admit it didn't trouble me much. But key return was also challenging as they put right set of keys in the locker. What I really didn't expect is to have medium-hard bed mattress with synthetic shits. 100% cotton cost only 70$-100$ and will leave much better experience. Also, be aware that you hear neighbours and if they are loud - a lot

This apartment was great! The leather sectional couch with pillows and throw blanket was very comfy, the kitchen was spotless and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean, even had laundry detergent and softener sheets for washer/dryer combo. The location within easy walking distance from McCormick Place made this place extra special. Patricia was very friendly and very helpful with our parking lot issues.

Some miscommunication issues arose that Patricia said were caused by a recent change in software programming. She was able to help us with everything that we had questions about. The parking lot reserved for Vesta Lofts is very convenient and is a much better deal than other parking lots but the App to reserve a spot was very confusing - I ended up having to call the parking lot company and then Patricia to actually get a spot. Very frustrating 1 1/2 hours of trying to get this straightened out.

The host was fantastically attentive, friendly, and caring. Best one yet! If you're going to McCormick, you can't beat this location. One block from the Marriott and its pedway to McCormick was very much appreciated in single digit weather.

Exceptional

It was very homey for the week that my friend and I were there. We were able to bring groceries and enjoyed cooking and relaxing. It had all we needed to have a stress free vacation. We just loved the atmosphere of the place, and it was close to what we were there for. I would recommend this to family and friends to enjoy themselves.

There are not enough restaurants to choose from within walking distance. We did try the few that were close and really enjoyed the food and friendliness of the people.
