Our vacation was wonderful

We loved the atmosphere inside and out at the cabin. The pool, deck, and sitting areas were great for enjoying the peaceful surroundings!

This place was great and we had a ton of fun, however there were a couple of things that we wished was improved - we assumed there would be a flat spot since this property was 14 acres, but there was probably only 1 acre mowed, and it was very hilly, so we couldn’t play wiffleball or volleyball like we had planned. The only other thing I wish was different was there was a ton of dirt in the pool. Otherwise, the cabin was great, just expect a little smaller space due to the wide lens camera pictures

Property has a great peaceful feel. Was no way any one could take pictures as one review said they did. Dont let them scare u away. There was no one able to see the home where it sets. Pool was warm and the girls loved it. Was my granddaughters 5th birthday so i took 4 generations of family and her best friend. We all had a great time swimming. I would definitely stay again if its a little cheaper. But well worth the money for the memories made.

We had a great time staying at this cabin with my brother and his family! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook lots of meals together, and having two full bathrooms was just right for our two families. The property was well-maintained and fun to explore. Our kids especially loved the game room in the basement! I did dock one star from the "accuracy of online listing" section because the listing specifically states that there are four bedrooms (1 with 2 queens, 2 with 1 queen each, and 1 with 1 twin bed), but there is NO fourth bedroom with a twin bed. That was not real great because we had chosen this property specifically because it would suit our two families perfectly thanks to that fourth bedroom. We made it work, but it was not quite what we were hoping for.

It sounds like a GREAT place to getaway from the listing. We hadn’t been there 45 minutes and neighbors were taking pictures of us. Absolutely NO privacy. Fishing pond covered in Algae. No fenced in area. Safety wise there are screws sticking out the handrails on the outside stairs. Great Concept just needs work & the neighbors put in check.

The property was as advertised and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The little touches of snacks waiting for the kids and adding a blender to the appliances was really appreciated. We were able to visit the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter as well as the stop on the Bourbon trail and one of the state parks. The family really enjoyed the pool.

Enjoyed the very quiet setting and privacy with no close neighbors. Also enjoyed the air hockey game in basement! Would be an amazing place to stay at if property would be managed better. Booked this place because it had a pool and on arrival the pool had leaves and dirt in it and pool water was cold since they were running cold water in to fill it up more. There was ground bees under the deck and since we had small children along that wasn't the most impressive. It didn't seem like anyone had checked on things lately. Washcloths seemed to be in the minority as well. Property manager did show up and apologized for how things were and host when contacted was very apologetic.

This was our first visit to Kentucky. This was a great place for our family between visits to the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, and Mammoth Caves. The house is on a large property with plenty of distance from neighbors and is well equipped for cooking for the family and playing games inside and out. We observed carpenter bees and woodpeckers boring into the house timbers, which did not inhibit our stay but made for some interesting noises and wood shavings.

home was very adequate for us (4 adults + 3 teenagers) - just a few small things that the property manager fixed the second day (tv remotes did not all work and fireplace heat for home did not stay on with thermostat control) also wish we could have used the pool but not open for the season yet - enjoyed the game room in basement for the boys .. overall a wonderful setting away from the neighbors and just a short (winding KY road) to everything we needed :)

We had a good stay at the cabin! We enjoyed the rural feel, the kitchen was pretty well stocked with supplies, and the kids LOVED all the basement games! It wasn’t a season for swimming and the weather wasn’t great for doing much else outside but the porch and the fire pit would’ve been fun if the weather had been better! We visited the Creation Museum, Clifty Falls State Park, and The Ark Encounter during our stay. As a mom of five, I loved the kids bunking together in the upstairs room (we brought an air mattress for one). Little things that make my mom jobs easier like laundry baskets and spare toilet paper/ paper towels and a few dishwasher and laundry pods and plenty of hand soap at the sinks were helpful. There were just a few little tweaks I’ll try to send to the property manager but overall it was a great place to stay and we had a sweet time!

We had a great time renting this cabin in rural Kentucky. They had a well stocked kitchen, that could use some cookie sheets, excellent table games for the kids in the basement. They really enjoyed the air hockey table. Very comfortable rooms and a lovely gathering area. The host was very accommodating when we had a small issue and very easy to communicate with. Overall it was a great stay. Thanks again!

With the added beauty of the snow, this cabin helped provide a amazing Christmas for our whole family. Owners and property manager were both quick to address our questions and concerns and the owner called the next day to ensure all was well. The cabin was nicely stocked with everything needed, more than enough linens,, ectra beds, TVs in all 3 bedrooms and main living area, lots of games in addition to all the activities in the basement that also has a very nice huge washer and dryer in it and with the large heater, it never got too cold down there. We had 10 adults and 2 smaller children for 7 days and with three spacious levels to spread out, we did not feel crowded at all. I really liked the cozy bedroom with the small fire place on the wall and the stand-up shower upstairs. view was definitely pretty and when the deer slowly walked by and grazed as it lightly snowed, it was simply picturesque! Some of our family was from Florida, this beautiful cabin was perfect for a wonder Kentucky Christmas. Everyone said they would love to stay here again, maybe in the Summer next time.Thank you for sharing your amazing cabin with my family and for providing us with a nice Christmas tree for our stay.

The cabin is rustic but comfortable. Very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Owner and manager were prompt in addressing all our questions and concerns. The cabin is older but has been updated . We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again when visiting Kentucky. Our main destination was the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. In our opinion this was a good location for visiting both.

We enjoyed our stay. The location was good, the cleanliness could have been better. The floors may have been dusted but not mopped. We could tell by the bottoms of our socks. We understand farm life, but we felt it could have been better.

We will be back to stay longer so beautiful and peaceful

My wife and I have owned and managed several vacation properties on VRBO and have rented several for our trips as well. We live on 200 acres in rural Virginia so are very familiar with rural properties such as this. 1. The driveway was very steep and washed out. Our 15 passenger Ford Transit van had trouble getting up the driveway without the wheels spinning and had to get a fast running start to make it up the driveway, our wheels spinning as we went. Also, to get to the property you have to drive a few miles on a one lane road and encounter people coming at you in the opposite direction at a fast rate of speed. 2. The house was not cleaned properly. There was trash under all the beds, big clumps of hair laying around on the floors, cobwebs hanging off the living room furniture, etc. There were expose raised staples on the interior stair posts. 3. When we arrived there was a note saying the washing machine was broken and the master bathtub had a leak and we couldn't use either of them. The property managers showed up the first day bringing a replacement washer. It was an old used washer in poor shape and thumped loudly when it was run. 4. The gas stove did not work properly. Most of the burners would not light unless you it them manually. Also, the oven did not work properly. We tried merely cooking frozen pizzas and it burned the edges, leaving the middle uncooked. 5. There was no exhaust in the kitchen. This caused the smoke detectors to go off when cooking frozen pizza, frying eggs, steaming vegetables, etc., even though there was no smoke. We would have to open the windows and doors to to even heat food up. 6. The railing around the elevated deck by the pool is dangerous and not built to code. The railing was made from a thin gauge steel cable that was merely hanging loose between the posts. Since the deck was elevated several feet, this posed a great danger to our small children. These types of railings need a thicker gauge cable and you need to use turnbuckles in order to tighten them properly and keep them tightened as they will loosen over time. 7. There was personal junk stored everywhere throughout the house. 8. The house was advertised as being 30 minutes from the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. It actually was minimum of 45 minutes to each. This property could be an excellent vacation rental, but the above items need to be addressed before renting it out.

Everything was great!

House is secluded with great amenities. Pool is big and clean and game room is a big plus. Comfortable to sleep for 8 people. Kitchen is well stocked and communication with host was great. Collen made sure we were comfortable and they installed hockey table just before our arrival. We liked the campfire where the kids made s'mores. Overall great stay.

Beautiful cabin!! We had our 7 kids and had more than enough room. The pool, games room, and fishing pond are all wonderful. Secluded but close enough to get what you need. Beautiful drive along river to Madison and Carrollton. Would definitely stay again!!

We loved the location as we wanted to be away from everything. The house has a great layout and was very clean. We really enjoyed the pool and game room. We didn’t have much luck at the pond fishing but enjoyed the challenge. Our only negative thing would be the pond needs to be treated but everything else about this location is perfect and very reasonably priced. The owners are great to work with and we highly recommend this property.
