Wonderful from start to finish

The cottage was beautiful and in a lovely location. The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating and offered us lots of suggestions of things to do during our stay. There were lots of lovely little touches too, including the offering of using the owners vegetable patch at our leisure. We would certainly stay again and will be recommending to others too.

Only minor, but there wasn't a bin in the bathroom which as a woman can be difficult to negotiate particularly if you are in the company of others.

Glastonbury plus others

Host was disrespectful, many things wrong with cottage,curtains too long trip hazard,clothes rail dropped all clothes when removing an item, bathroom sink plug water just passed through, kitchen sink plug unremovable,fridge unable to close door as dishwasher door in the way,bed corners caught leg calf bone. Gas run out so no heating and no hot water. Tried over different times to get it running thinking it was an electric system using panel in cupboard, Phoned host who responded with attitude and was aggressive with his responses. We come home early.cottage bedroom not suitable for wheelchair, I was dropped on floor struggling to get to wheelchair from bed and hurt my back. Cottage needs attention.

Perfect for our dog too with walks direct from the cottage and lots of dog friendly places in the the area and only a short drive into Glastonbury which is also very friendly and welcoming for us and our dog. We will definitely be staying again.

Very friendly host who brought us another mattress as the sofa bed was not comfy for an adult. Main bed was really comfy. Responsive to our requests.

Ideal location for exploring Somerset. Lovely cosy cottage, in a quiet setting, just right for a couple, with views from the cottage and garden, to a field with three Llamas. Kitchen well equipped, could do with tea towels for those who wash up rather than use the dishwasher! There were, however, two hand towels. The lovely large rustic table was great for al fresco dining, with a "fire bowl" for those wanting to BBQ. (we were lucky with fantastic sunny warm weather for the duration of our stay) so could have done with a parasol or sunshade over the table. The host was very friendly, and ready to suggest places to visit and eat.

Nothing, only the addition of two comfy garden chairs for lazing/reading on sunny days!

Over long curtains in bedroom, which I tripped over twice. Also not wide enough to shut light or give privacy. Shutters would be so much better.

Weekend away for to meet friends for 70th birthday celebration.

Quaint little place, just right for the two of us. Comfortable bed, the shower was a bit awkward for me as I have a back problem but my husband managed fine. Loved the Alpacas in the field nearby. Fresh eggs available if you ask, some fresh herbs growing in the garden we could use and some fruit for the Alpacas left on the table outside too.

The Sofa was uncomfortable.

Peaceful, and pretty

Lovely, peaceful setting. A well equipped cottage, although we did get the feeling that someone lived there when empty as the pantry was full of cooking condiments and the washing machine had wet washing inside..? We made use of some of the contents of the pantry though. Very modern kitchen and bathroom, comfortable bed and a comfortable lounge area with a TV. The garden/patio area was secure for pooches but only a small area. There is a nice paddock a short stroll away which leads to a nice old church. All in all we really enjoyed this little place and would visit again.

Just the garden area was smaller than we anticipated but I wouldn't say we didn't like it.

Atrocious

I have never been so glad to leave a place

Friendly enough illusive owner, peaceful and great area to visit, but sadly the place might of been decent when first rented out but needs maintenance, was filthy dirty full of dog hairs. not prepared at all for us with other people's laundry in machines, dirty bed linen, towels, cloths in kitchen dining table, stains and dirt on radiators, and a very uncomfortable sofa propped up on wood and clothes hanger. Felt as if somebody lives there x1 torn dirty tea towel, fridge dirty full of old out of date food along with cupboards full of miscellaneous food, a dishwasher rammed full, the bathroom needs thoroughly cleaning with black mold all over tiles and general smell is of damp dog. Outside, there IS NOT an enclosed garden. The owner needs to get a new cleaner with eyes and a sense of smell I had to spend over an hour hoovering and cleaning before we could finally relax, and because the vacuum cleaner bag was full, and there were no available bags so scrubbing carpet rug and curtains with brusless vac end was a mission as was bleaching the rotting bathroom. Tried calling owner but didn't have time to wait on the owner to not call me back or answer my call, or chase him around the property after a long drive and didn't wish to create a bad feeling. So far from home on an Easter weekend bank holiday, we had little choice but to stay, never had to clean a place before staying. I would definitely not recommend this place for many reasons, and obviously, he doesn't care about his business but is happy to take our hard earned money of £140 a night. What a cheek!

Truly the best place to stay in Glastonbury!

Exceptional service & care. We arrived with a flat tire, thankfully the owner came to our rescue! He also brought us firewood so we could have an outside Fire. That made our stayDefinitely the host with the most! We loved him & his 3 beautiful Alpacas, found them fascinating! My wife’s already planning to return. And it’s my best experience of Glastonbury accommodation ever, in over 30 years of stays this is my favourite place & most memorable. Highly recommended!

it was not very clean and had an over riding smell of dogs. If dogs are welcomed then a thorough clean is necessary. the sofa was uncomfortable and covered in dog hairs

Relaxed location and a perfect setup for our young dog.

Plenty of space in the accommodation, parking beside and a perfect location. Close enough to Glastonbury but in the countryside so it was quiet and great for walking the dog straight from the property. Owner met us on arrival and gave us useful information about things in the property and walks to take the dog. Got to see their friendly alpaca’s each morning when we woke up and the owner offered us some vegetables and herbs from their veg patch which I thought was a nice touch.

Felt parts of the accommodation could have been cleaner for example the fridge. We only really used this as a base to visit family in the area but if we had been in the accommodation more there’s maintenance that could of been looked at for example the water didn’t drain away in the shower, I’m sure if we had reported it it would of been looked at and resolved.

great little find!

Excellent- We arrived on the Tuesday afternoon at 3pm having followed the very handy directions provided. The Cottage is tucked away down a nice quiet lane with the owner staying across the way in the main farmhouse (who popped by to say hello as soon as we arrived). You have your own secure courtyard leading to the patio doors into the living, dining and kitchen area of the cottage. Beyond that is 1 bedroom and an ensuite. The entire property is well presented and clean. There was also all the cupboard of staples you could need (the nearest shop is in Pilton or Glastonbury so requires a car). We put the heating on as soon as we got to the cottage and it felt like a home away from home. The bath was one of my highlights as it was so cold outside. The bed was also very comfortable and with soft furnishings. A plentitude of towels, plugs and radiators per room. We didn't use any of the applicances except toaster and kettle but the place has it all! We were very pleased with the nightly rate and would happily pay this if we were to stay again. Thank you Iain for the hospitality.

Really peaceful place to stay

The location setting, the layout of the cottage, the host was amazing very knowledgeable the patio, the wifi and the TV. Great kitchen and great decor, really relaxing place.

Signs of previous guests, plates in the dishwasher towels in the tumble dryer, sofa was uncomfortable and the shower was not great, but certainly not the worst.
