予約時のスタッフの対応。いきなり$52の追加請求をして、振り込み方も親切じゃない。不信感しか無い。追加請求するなら最初の契約の中に含めるべき。追加される可能性がありますという文言では、受け入れられない。この追加を支払うまでは何の連絡もないが、支払うと詳細情報がくる。2ヶ月以上前に予約したが、ようやく連絡が取れて話がついたのが宿泊まで一週間切っていた。 一旦支払った後の滞在中はしつこいくらいに連絡が来る。評価のフォローもしつこい。

I was really hesitant about how to rate this property. There are a few things I like about it, but the negative features outnumber the positive ones. The main advantage of this apartment is its location – it's situated in the very center of downtown Miami. The ocean, all the bars / restaurants, and interesting sights are within walking distance. The second nice thing about it is the view from the balcony. It's breathtaking! Both during the daytime, and during the night. Speaking of that, the terrace itself is huge and a perfect place to enjoy the view with a cup of coffee or a glass of champagne! The neighbors were quiet, no parties. The apartment is in a good overall condition, although it could pass as a bit shabby, depending on how fussy one is.

1. From the very beginning we experienced big problems in the communication with the host. Basically, from the first day we made the reservation, he started extorting us to pay an additional fee of $52 that was not mentioned in the listing. He told us that this was a "building fee" and that we were not allowed to check in, if you didn't pay it. We alerted "Booking" right away and they informed us that, indeed, we weren't supposed to pay this fee and that the host's request was illegitimate. They also mentioned that if the manager keeps on insisting, we should agree to his conditions and later plea to "Booking" for the amount to be refunded to us. That's exactly what we did. We ultimately got the money back, but were left quite annoyed with the whole situation. One shouldn't be bothered to deal with such kind of stuff when on vacation. The host was extremely difficult to communicate with. Very disappointing! 2. There was a horrible smell coming from the food waste disposal unit. We even couldn't bear ourselves to eat near it and had to move the dining table to the other half of the room. The stench gradually subsided within the next few days. But the whole situation was really unpleasant! There was also a stale odor coming from the texture of the sofa, that wasn't as intensive. 3. The AC was working perfectly during the first day and then suddenly broke. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get it to work again, which was disappointing because it happened to be really chilly at the property during the time of our stay. 4. The door lock seemed not to be safe enough. I was a little bit anxious that someone might easily break into the apartment and rob us, while we were out. 5. We had certain difficulties when checking out. The host told us that we should leave the keys at a special place in the apartment, which we did. The issue was that we needed the keys for using the elevator.
