About this cabin rental
This spacious, 3-level cabin has bedrooms and bathrooms on each level for plenty of space to sprawl out is tucked in a away in a prime location with a private fishing pond with dock and canoe for fishing in the heart of Cliffview Resort. A real log cabin, Whippoorwill is a blend of rustic features with modern amenities. Has High Speed Fiber optic Wi-Fi Internet, slate pool table, 5-person Hot Tub, two gas log fireplaces, large family room, large dining table and open granite kitchen, 2 TV's; one in the den for DVD movies or gaming and one 65" flat screen smart TV in the main living room with Dish Network satellite TV, and smart DVD player. Cabin has central heating and A/C and a laundry room with Washer and Dryer available for guest use. (Cliffview Resort is a highly sought after vacation community with hiking trails, fishing ponds, ATV trails, Zipline, Cafe)
Cabin has 4 private BR,; 2 on the main level have a queen bed each, the 3rd BR in the den has a full bed; the upstairs BR has 5-twin beds. The 5th BR has another queen bed in the basement Den with a fireplace, TV and dry bar with a mini-fridge, making this a 5 BR house sleeping 13. Each floor has a full bathroom. Main floor bathroom has a tub shower combo and the upstairs & downstairs bathrooms each have a walk in showers. The recently updated kitchen has newer appliances including, refrigerator, dishwasher, gas oven range, microwave, coffee maker, large dining table and standard kitchenware and cookware.
Outside is a 5-person hot tub and covered porch that stretches the full length of the cabin overlooking the private fishing pond with dock for fishing or take a swim! On the other side outside is a stone fire pit for a fire out and seating to enjoy s'mores while strumming the ol' 6-string under the stars! In addition a gas grill and park style charcoal grill for either flavor grill master !
Whippoorwill Cabin is much larger than it looks with 2200 sq ft. It is a classic Cliffview Resort Cabin with a blend of old style and modern decor. This large comfortable house is perfectly suited for large gatherings, offering lots of space and perfect for long stays. It is secluded, but convenient to other cabins in the area for large group gatherings seeking multiple Cabins. Ron's Big House, Crow's Nest, City Slicker's Hideaway, Above the Pines & Crimson Wonder are in nearby 2 minute walk-able vicinity.
Access to the cabin is moderately easy in the middle of Cliffview Resort. 2wd vehicles should have next to no trouble navigating paved (but narrow) roads to a circle gravel driveway with plenty of parking for 6-7 vehicles.Winter renters should plan to follow up with weather conditions in the event snow or ice are in the forecast.

We found the cabin to be first class for us as a group! Our children and grandchildren had plenty of room to spread out and room enough for everyone to be together and not be crowded! We would recommend for anyone to use! if the smaller cabins are the same we intend to come again as a couple and stay! Price is in a nice range for a bigger space! Son loved fishing and granddaughter loved the private space and the hot tub ! We rate as a 10!

The cabin was great, we had a wonderful time! They need to post more signage along the road to the cabins, as it is a long drive back, was raining and was hard to find in the rain. Additional signs along the road would be beneficial.

cabin would have been cozy if not for a few things, first and foremost upon arrival the back door was wide open and unlocked, which was disconcerting considering the remote location. secondly, the furniture had lots of damage, the chairs on the first floor literally about to fall apart, and the tv looked like it got ran into from the side. one of the twin bed frames in the loft area also appears to be broken, so when sleeping in it its more of a hammock then a bed. all of the carpeting was absolutely disgusting, with one of our attendees socks turning brown from walking around just in his bedroom. lastly, the basement box spring had a massive fecal matter stain that was flipped to hide, but the smell was still very apparent at times. various places in the cabin were coated in dust or dirty, which made us think it just was not cleaned from the prior attendance. aside from this the location and other amenities the venue has is very nice, a decent pool table (although very cramped) hot tub, fire pit, and lots of parking space. its also not too far from the gorge itself which made travelling for hiking convenient. I would say if the cabin/furnature was properly maintained this place would be an ideal spot for a large group of people just trying to get out for the weekend somewhere.
