A lovely cottage in the heart of the New Forest National Park, perfect for families and couples looking to explore the many attractions and activities available in the area.. Ground Floor:

Kitchen/dining room: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Washer Dryer, Stable Door Leading To Garden
Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet
First Floor:
Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed
Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (2ft 6in) Beds. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. 2 stairgates (available on request). Welcome pack. Doggy extras. Enclosed garden to front and rear with sitting-out area and garden furniture. 1 medium-sized dog welcome. Steep narrow stairs to the first floor. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Lantern Cottage is a delightful, welcoming, end-of-terrace period cottage, which is beautifully presented and dog friendly for one medium-sized dog. It has been refurbished in 2021 and is located within a 7-minute level walk of Lyndhurst village and the beautiful open forest. Ideal for a family or couples for a romantic or active break together. On the ground floor you’ll find a cosy living room with a TV and a wood burner to snuggle up in front of, a dining room and a galley kitchen, along with a bathroom; whilst upstairs are the two bedrooms. There are a number thoughtful personal touches on display in the property including a wine bottle honesty rack, help yourself to a bottle on the house but please replace any more before you leave. There are two enclosed gardens with furniture to sit in and enjoy the sun after a day’s activities.
Lyndhurst is a wonderful village with a superb array of amenities. Often referred to as the ‘Capital of the New Forest’ it offers a variety of outdoor pursuits and places of interest with the open forest easily accessible for walking and riding. The village boasts an eclectic range of cafés, restaurants and bakeries. Bike hire is also available (electric too of you fancy an easier ride). There are two mainline railway stations: Ashurst within 2½ miles and Brockenhurst just shy of 4 miles with direct links to London Waterloo.

This. Cottage has everything you need and more! Little details ,such as leaving spare cables for mobiles, treats for us and dog, and mystery emptying of dustbins! I was so comfortable there I did not want to leave. Congratulations to the owners for providing a real home.

Lovely cottage with an easy walk to the village (with lots of options for eating out) and forest walks.Comfortable with all key equipment you need for self catering too.Our dog also approved and settled very quickly.
