Booked the Bull Pen as a short break with my husband. It is really lovely, well kept with beautiful furnishings, linen and towels etc. Helen the owner was very friendly and always available. We had one small issue but was readily sorted by Helen. Can't think of anything not to like. A pub within walking distance would have been nice, but that didn't detract from our lovely stay and we did know that before we booked.

We had a great holiday staying at The Bull Pen. The owner is lovely; she met us when we arrived and baked a lemon drizzle cake for us. The bed and sofa were very comfortable and the cottage is beautifully decorated. We loved the quiet, countryside setting and the beautiful, private garden. Lots to do nearby too. We visited Flatford Mill and Dedham, Sutton Hoo, Beth Chatto’s garden, Lavenham, NT Melford Hall and the fantastic sandy beach at Walton on the Naze.
