Beautiful Escape

A hidden gem in the north of Ubud. It's surrounded by rice pads, peace and quiet. The room is super comfortable. The pool is great to chill and good size for swimming. The staff is super friendly, attentive and helpful. Thank you Ari, Putu and the boys for making my stay a beautiful dream.

If it was a little but closer to Ubud i wouldn't have left. But that's also how you get to peace and quiet.

THE STAFF AND PLACE ARE AMAZING

Beside the amazing Vue and the good room, WE LOVED the staff, they were so welcoming and very interactive, We end up making friends here more than in busy hotels in the city

Quiet isolated escape amongst the rice paddies

Nice pool, great location if you want to get away from the chaos of Ubud.

With the location being quite isolated we had trouble booking a grab to collect us when we left, also meant restaurants were further afield (get a scooter). Breakfast quite expensive.

amazing rice terrace view from our room!

we really had a great time at Tanta Escape! we got tired of the busy Ubud central street and decided to escape to Tegallalang for a little bit, and didn't regret it at all. the surrounding rice terrace view from the room was soooo beautiful, we have never seen any view like this with this price! so we think the value for money is so good 👍 breakfast was delicious, and staff were very attentive and were able to arrange everything we requested. we did the cultural trekking, and it was fun learning how to make canang and interacting with locals and of course, trekking the amazing rice terrace! we also love the private pool that overlooking the rice terrace view. it was a great and refreshing 1 night stay for us. we will definitely be back again to stay and maybe try the yoga session!

Location is great but there are mouses and dirty

It’s a great location if you are looking for relax from noise. Stuff is very welcoming and nice .

It needs maintenance and deep cleaning .boys I assume did not get a training how to clean properly . Under our sink was a dirt what have left after many many years .Deck next to main pool is broken and you can twist your foot . And we saw mouses coming in to villa .

Peaceful

Looking for a place to just zen and be out in nature surrounded by rice terraces and peace and silence? Then this is your spot. Its really a good escape at a decent price.

Listen this place is in the middle of nowhere lol. But you can have a nice run and watch amazing sunsets. You can also order on grab though its expensive because its far. The deck by the main pool could use some maintenance as well but overall pleasant stay.

A great retreat if that's your style, but for us the location was very remote from altenat warungs and bars.

The location was a mixed blessing, nowhere to eat and drink but the hotel facilities, which, to be fare were reasonably priced.

We stopped in a villa with a private pool. It was nice but there was definitely some maintenance issues. Nothing major but just a general feeling that things were not getting fixed.

One of the best stay we ever had. Honestly its worth staying in Tanta surrounded by Rice Terrace. Location is bit inside but worth every penny. Totall Safe & Secure

The Villa is ok but will not return!

The breakfast was far from satisfactory.

The location is too far into jungle! Totally inaccessible without a car and a brave driver to drive us back every evening after dinner. The road to villa was pitch dark!

MY secluded holiday

I loved the property, secluded, however wish your description was more transparent. Restaurant was being re constructed due to storm. Staff were excellent and the food room service was delicious. Enjoyed free upgrade to pool room, due to room I booked not yet finished.

My first thought was property was mis represented as new. Appeared to be very. U h a work in Progress renovations in preparation for high season. Did not like the idea of dining in room though. Expected restaurant Dining.

staff was friendly and helpful.

there was literally NO food options nearby and when we ordered from their inhouse kitchen, the food was extremely disappointing. No salt or taste. 80% of the menu was unavailable and we had to wait for more than an hour for a simple fried rice. Pls buy cup noodles before coming here. Thankfully we had 2 cup noodles in our bags and we survived with that. there is NO nearby shops! my heater and aircon was not working. I had to ask for a change of room as even after their staff came to rectify, it was still not working.

the resort is in a very beautiful remote area - perfect for chilling out from usual busy city life. Room was very nice! we had our very own pool! And staff were amazing, friendly and they were bringing us food right to the room when we didnt feel like going to the restaurant

bathroom needed a bit of maintenance , and some insects treatment. But their presence was understandable of course, since the location is very much in nature

The staff, the location, the facilities all are just wow.

Everything was perfect. Couldnt ask for more. The location was serene and one of a kind. Lush green fields and the sound of birds all day long wih natives walking around was awesome. The staffs everyone so friendly and took care that everything was in order and always smiled and greeted us. ARI was especially great and supportive all along the stay.

I travelled solo but i never felt unsafe or uncomfortable at any point during my stay. special thanks to Ari ☺️ for her assistance and help with my travel plans. the food too was really good. thank you to the staff at thantha serenity for making my bali experience extra special❤️

Relax in nature

Located in the middle of rice fields, peaceful, green, beautiful views. Close to horse stable so you can explore neigbourhood on horseback. Good restaurant, amazing, helpful and friendly staff. Spacious room, comfy beds, amenieties such as towels, toothbrush, comb etc provided.

Some facilities were still under construction, so we couldn't use sunbeds by the pool, AC was not working, there was problem with warm water and water pressure in bathroom.

Great Villa with interpersonal staff

The staff were amazing and exceptional. Very private and peaceful. Despite it’s con, I’ll still choose to stay here when I’m in bali again.

Location is super off, secluded and far from civilisation. Roads leading to the resort is unsteady, hence I can understand why many grab drivers ended up cancelling. Do rent a bike if you’re staying here.

Not living up to it's potential

- Great relaxing atmosphere - Fantastic view - Great price - The staff was helpfull and friendly - The hotel got a lot of potential, but it needs some managing and marketing. I’m not writing this to pull them down, but in the hope they will adresse these problems, since the place got potential.

- The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, the last 500m are hardly accesible by car. So how travellers who are with a car get there, I don’t know. - There is literally nothing in a 5 miles radius around the hotel. No restaurant, no warung, no shop,… and even if they were there, you can not leave the hotel after sunset, cause you would risk your life walking down a small pathway without lights. - When I arrived at the hotel, it looked like an abandoned hotel. 1 guy barly speaking any english, had to welcome me. No lobby, hardly any staff, no guests, no nothing At the swimming pool, which wasn’t cleaned in several days, there were no sun loungers, although the guy brought me one so I could relax. From what I saw, half of the villas were empty, without any furniture. - The room itself was outdated and there was no mosquiteo net. Although, you might not need that since the roof was completly covered by spider webs so mosquitos didn’t stand a chance. It was Halloween, but I doubt this was decoration. - I had cockroaches both in the bathroom as in the swimmingpool. - Nice bath tub, only impossible to fill. after you fill it for 20%, their is no hot water anymore. - The mini-bar was empty. Given the fact this hotel is in the middle of nowhere, that is a problem if you want to drink something at night.

- location: there is really nothing around (and I really mean nothing, no warungs or places to rent a scooter,...) -> be careful of dogs at night - difficult to get there cause it is located at a small path away from the main road
