Beautiful home, would stay again

Spotlessly clean, beautiful kitchen with everything you could possibly need, brilliant location for sight seeing in North Wales.

Nothing much to not like but with two adults and four kids we could have done with another downstairs toilet, other than that no complaints!

Lovely spacious house. Everything you need is provided

The location was good. The house had all the basics you need. Toiletries in the bathroom. Kitchen utensils and condiments. I brought kitchen towels and washing up liquid but it was all provided. It had an alexa in the house which we had to turn off as the daughter was enjoying it too much. The heating was easy to use and was lovely and warm. The beds was really comfy and bedroom was a good size. Was a bonus having a washing machine and cleaning products.

So we were locked out for about 2 and half hours after getting back from a day trip. The door handle with the key code had broken. We had to sit in car with engine on as weather was about 4°. Took half an hour to get a reply from owners. We eventually got in but next day they come to fit another door handle as we got back from another day trip. I understand with modern technology it does malfunction now and again so I suppose it was one of those things. As my daughter has disabilities and epilepsy she found it hard getting up and downstairs as Xmas Dec's on the banister. It was fine on the landing but just made it hard for her with banister covered so come down sitting down. Sofa nearest the tele smelt of dog. I'd washed their blankets but the smell was still there. Other than that it was a really nice stay.

Really Nice House, Great Location, Good Curry Nearby

Location was Brilliant. Price was Good. House was really nice and had a good feel. Superking bed was really comfy. Spice of Llanberis Indian Takeaway was too notch!.

Could do with a few coat hooks near the front door. Thats being picky though, the place was brilliant.

A cosy get away

It was very clean, comfortable and cosy. Everything you could need, lots of space...a home from home. Perfect to come back to after our Snowdon climb. Good location only 5 minutes drive into Llanberis.

It's situated on a main road and although that didn't bother us, it was quite noisy in the day. Not at night though. There are no shops or pubs within walking distance. I didn't like some of the booking policies of Polka Stays so make sure you read the small print.

Beautiful location, high standard property.

Clean, bed was very comfortable, good size for a family of four, photos matched the actual property. Property had all mod cons, layout was very homely.

The company did try to rectify the situation and waived the cleaning fee but then failed to manage expectations and refu

The property had potential but unfortunately was completely unclean on arrival

Cleanliness was to a very poor standard. With user blister plasters still in the bedroom. Dog hair +++ all up the stairs and on the floors including a human toe nail. Dust ++ and hair all in the bathroom especially in corner around toilet and toilet brush. Grease dripping from the fan in kitchen. Used cups found on the floor in living room. Food crumbs still on the kitchen side and dried food and marks all over the wall by the bin. The front door handle broke the night we arrived too and as it’s a coded lock left it out of action until someone came to try fix it on our final night.

Great weekend.

Inside the house was really lovely - perfect for what we wanted, even if the dishwasher wasn't working. The property was close to Llamberis so that was fine. Right next to quite a busy road and next to a garage. Although handy for the Spar.

Nice house

Located on very busy road to the rear of conservatory. Next to a garage with large shipping container located next to property with a number of parked cars. Not a lot of parking. Cot requested not supplied. Dishwasher not working and note on it to tell us when arrived. Why was this not replaced or at the very least a note prior to our arrival to tell us the dishwasher was not working. You did send enough emails asking for additional services and costs. Have raised with owner but no response. Continual emails from owner attempting to offer additional services at cost. Says pet friendly but only if you pay more money. Cleaning fee of £60.00 excessive

This was amazing trip for me and my family with this beautiful and spacious building.

It was well furnished property with single small items of daily use and neat + clean , well maintained property with comfortable furniture and modern facilities, lovely sitting area in back side. Overall I love the property which makes my stay comfortable and enjoyable. I will definitely visit this property again with my family

Property was very clean and tidy. Great location next to a little shop and anything you could want is a short drive away. Property is close to loads of hiking areas and has good views of the mountains to the rear of the house conservatory. Perfect for those morning coffees and breakfast starting the day. Showers are also really good 😊. There’s Plenty of room for a medium sized family with all the comforts you would need. I was really impressed with the good value of this accommodation and will be booking again when we come back to Snowdonia.

Property had everything especially in the kitchen and Wi-Fi very good speed

Bathroom not maintained properly your cleaner should be letting you know about the mould near the window and also around the bath mastic very easy fixes apart from needing routine maintenance like painting in the front room where the window is the banister. I guess it’s just showing signs of seasonal wear but it is a fantastic location and good property. Extremely poor customer service when I explained that I had 5% battery and all I needed was the code to be sent so I had it for when I arrived the host was not contactable communication is especially important, especially when it is a business booking

We had a great stay. The property has everything you need and is conveniently positioned just a minute away from the bus stop that takes you to Pen-y-Pass where Pyg Trail to Snowdon starts.

Excellent property

Beautiful property with all the facilities you can think of. Excellent location to visit Snowdon and other tourist locations around. Spacious, well furnished, fully equipped kitchen, a high chair, great shower/hot water and comfortable beds. It was so thoughtful of the owner that they even put some board games and badminton rackets in the property. In short feels like home.

Superb stay

The house is fully equipped with everything you would need, it's clean and tidy. The beds are comfortable, and there's a good amount of space in the kitchen and the living room area for people to hang out. It's also located right next to a supermarket which is very convenient. You can tell there has been thought put into the house for guests to stay with USB and usb-c sockets on all of the wall plugs. Overall a great and easy stay.

Brilliant place to stay!

We had a brilliant stay at Dolwen. The house is beautiful and in the most incredible location! It was perfect for our needs as a group of 3 friends visiting to climb Snowdon. The lovely little touches of a bottle of wine and a coffee machine were a real treat! Thank you!

Disappointing.

Sofa was comfy. Had wi-fi. Good shower and heating system.

The house location was not as indicated. It is a three bed-semi sandwiched between a main road and a back street, with a petrol station/garage/containers/oil drums to one side and the semi on the other with a dog (yes, you can hear it barking through the walls). Very noisy being next to main road for people trying to sleep in bedroom above kitchen. Saw a rat in rear garden - probably because of the shipping containers next door... House not very clean. Extractor fan in kitchen did not work. Wooden flooring throughout meant very noisy property. Very disappointed to be honest.

Well proportioned accommodation, clean and comfortable with plenty of facilities. Lovely kitchen / dining area. House is clean and modern apart from a couple of areas mentioned below. Once you get round the initial disappointment of not what your think your getting from the advert, it's a good base to stay

Felt mislead by photos. It's not by the lake, it's a 3 bed semi detached house off a side street nowhere near the lake. Wish owner would of been more honest and put photo of the accommodation so you know what your paying for which was expensive for 3 nights. Smelt a bit funky when coming in, it was the mop cupboard and smelly couch in the conservatory. Bath / shower is luke warm, probably has a mixer valve for scalding risk

I think it would benefit from having a fence at the front to separate from the garages next door an maybe the gardens sorting out apart from that it was perfect
