The one-bed studio is very small, but reasonably well equiped. The location is very convenient, with several tube and bus stops nearby. The neighourhood is lively and refreshingly "normal" (as opposed to the mich posher area around nearby Holland Park).

The studio is accessible via steep and narrow stair (impractical with heavy luggage or for peoppe with any sort of impairments). There's a metro line right behind the house, it's quite loud. The window doesn't close properly, hence cannot be locked (in the summer it's more of a safety concern, come autumn it'll also be damp). Still, it's good value for money and I really appreciated having a little kitchen corner.

Communication timing getting back to us was very poor certain things we didn’t see straight away was the ironing board and Iron as it was in the corridor where the main door was always left open and it was hanging behind the door. The dryer could’ve been with a better signage where it was.

For a solo trip or a couple of nights in London, this studio does the job. The amenities are solid. Having a TV, coffee, and an iron available are nice touches that make the space feel considered. The studio itself is very clean, and the host is responsive and easy to communicate with. The building felt safe and secure, and the Shepherd’s Bush tube stop puts you close enough to central London that getting around is straightforward.

The studio is small, though if you’ve stayed in London before, that’s not a surprise, and for solo travel it’s manageable. The bathroom has very limited storage, which is inconvenient if you travel with more than the basics. Noise is a real issue. The building carries sound easily and you can hear neighbouring tenants clearly throughout the night. Earplugs are not optional here. My bigger concern is the immediate area. I asked the host directly whether it was safe to walk alone at night and was told yes. I’d push back on that. The streets around Shepherd’s Bush Market after dark are rough, with visible drug use, people sleeping rough, and loud disturbances into the early hours. It is not an area where I felt comfortable walking alone at night, and guests deserve an honest answer to that question rather than reassurance. A quick look at the area beforehand would have changed my expectations significantly. Worth knowing before you arrive.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
