Apartamento Estepona I

La piscina de la azotea es pequeña pero divertida. Las camas son muy cómodas y el aire acondicionado funciona muy bien. El apartamento es espacioso y cómodo y el edificio muy nuevo.

Había algún pequeño desperfecto, como algún cajón roto, o una ducha de la que fugaba algo de agua. Cosas mínimas. Lo cierto es que tiene todo lo que uno necesita para pasar unos buenos días de descanso.

The apartament was very comfy and location was very close to old town and beach area so you can walk everywhere. It is very close to supermarket around the corner and there are several good restaurants around.

We found that there was a shortage of cutlery and glasses. We missed a table cloth, a replacement of news towels and a couple more dishwashers tablets would have been great.

The location is convenient and the building is quiet. The deposit was returned once the matter was escalated.

The apartment is small, dated and tired. Kitchenware was not clean on arrival. There were no operating instructions for any of the appliances or systems in the property, and nothing at all in the way of local information. The bigger problems were with the agency rather than the flat. Check-in is self-service, but access details for the apartment and the parking were not supplied until the last minute, despite repeated requests from me and separate attempts by Booking.com to obtain them on my behalf. Before that, when I asked how the condition of the property would be recorded at check-in given that nobody would be present, the question was not answered. When I asked for an invoice by email, I was sent another guest's invoice containing their booking and personal details. That is a serious lapse for any business handling customer data, and it raises the obvious question of who has been sent mine. The terms state that the €500 security deposit is refunded within seven days of check-out. That deadline passed without the money being returned and without any reply to my messages. It was only refunded after I escalated the matter formally and raised it with my card issuer. No damage was ever alleged, so there was nothing to hold it against in the first place. Things should not require that much chasing.
