Space Tokyo House

This was my fifth stay here and every time it’s a nice pleasant comfortable trip. The room is clean and accommodating with home like feelings.

Stairs to the room are daunting after a long day and 25,000 steps but that’s no fault of the property.

The accommodation was excellent and as described. It was spacious, clean and very tidy. Also all the facilities were full.

When I booked this place I was imagining having to take the train from the hotel to the airport for our departure and I wanted to get a place halfway to the airport to make scheduling simpler. It turns out that you shouldn't take luggage on the commuter trains, because there's no room. And this place is only slightly closer to the airport than Central Tokyo! It's 1 hour 1 minute by taxi from Space House to NRT while from TeamLabs Planets in Koto City to NRT it's 1 hour, 5 minutes. This is the only place we stayed in Japan with normal, American type pillows, that were a normal size, weren't hard, and could be fluffed, although the other places were stayed were all hotels while this is someone's condo or AirBnB.

After all it was too far to walk from the train station, as we did it several times, and got lost, and there were teens hanging out on the corner, and foreigners on bicycles at night which seemed suspicious. We decided after an embarrassing ride on the train with our luggage, where I bumped someone when the train lurched and someone else actually shoved me to get out of the train, which I laughed off then but was actually unacceptable. The train we took to get here in fact. We decided we'd have to take a taxi to the airport for our departure. And I stubbed my toe several times on the legs of the beds, and finally I stacked the free slippers in front of the legs, though they didn't stay and I banged my foot again. And the washer doesn't dry at all, after 1 hour of air drying they were exactly as wet as when we started. Fortunately, they dried on the clothes rack placed downwind of the AC overnight. Don't even try to run the air dry. While the four flights of stairs to the front door were unpleasant, the stairs and levels in the slippery bathroom and shower were more dangerous, and of course, I mentioned already, the bed legs were what actually injured me.
