Take a 10-minute walk to visit a local farm that sells fresh flowers on Sundays. Downtown Petaluma is just a 7-minute drive away, and it’s only a few minutes further to reach other local wineries and cheese shops, including Azari Vineyards, Marin French Cheese Co., McEvoy Ranch, and the Tara Firma CSA farm.
It takes just 25 to 40 minutes by car to visit the beautiful towns of Sonoma, Bodega, Pt. Reyes, Sebastopol, Bodega Bay, San Rafael, Tiburon, Sausalito, and hundreds of wineries in Sonoma and Napa counties. A visit to Point Reyes National Seashore is also highly recommended.
One of the best things about staying at the farm in Petaluma is being so close to nature. It’s like being in a wilderness park. Spend time in the garden watching and listening to more than a dozen species of birds. Admire the beautiful wildflowers and the plum, cherry, peach, and lemon trees. You might see deer, wild turkeys, and rabbits on the property, while the surrounding areas are home to sheep, cows, and more.
