The Space:
Escape to our beautifully renovated chalet nestled near the Cacapon River and just 20 minutes from downtown Berkeley Springs. This stylish retreat blends updated farmhouse touches with cozy comfort, perfect for families, friends, and small groups. We're also dog-friendly!
Inside, you’ll find a fully stocked modern kitchen, central AC, fast WiFi, and two baths. The open-concept layout includes a loft sleeping area, a private main bedroom, an additional lower-level bedroom, and a bonus living space—plenty of room for everyone to relax and recharge.
Step outside to enjoy a spacious deck with serene mountain views, roast marshmallows around the fire pit, or stroll to the nearby community pond.
Whether you're here for a peaceful weekend or an outdoor adventure, this chalet is your perfect home base.
The chalet includes:
- Bedroom 1 (main floor) - Queen Bed
- Bedroom 2 - (open loft) - Queen Bed & Twin Bed
- Bedroom 3 - (lower level) - Queen Bed & Twin Bunk Bed
- Additional Sleeping Accommodations: (lower level) Sleeper Sofa
- Two bathrooms, one on each level (one with shower and tub and the other with a tub)
- Open layout with tall ceilings and plenty of windows to bring the outdoors in
- Second Living Area (lower level), perfect for an extra hangout space
- Kitchen with new stainless steel appliances (including dishwasher)
- Fast, reliable Frontier Fiber — perfect for streaming your favorite shows or staying connected with video calls
- Smart TVs (both in the living room and basement), where you can log into all of your favorite streaming services
- Central AC to heat to keep you comfortable
- Open main room with plenty of natural light

Our community has access to a large private pond -- just a short drive from the cabin. It’s open year round for fishing (we’ve caught bluegills, bass, and catfish), and in the summer is great for a swim!
Please note:
For the comfort and safety of all guests, smoking, vaping, and illegal drug use are not allowed anywhere on the property—indoors or outdoors.
The fire pit is currently unavailable while we complete safety upgrades, but we look forward to bringing it back soon so you can enjoy cozy evenings by the fire in the future.
To maintain a clean and allergy-friendly space, pets are not permitted.
Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM to ensure a relaxing stay for everyone.
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, though given the natural mountain setting you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or other outdoor touches, especially during certain seasons.
Wi-Fi is provided, but due to the remote location service can occasionally be slower or spotty, so we recommend downloading any important content in advance.

This is a family friendly place with ample space for the 6 of us to have our own space. AC was wonderful (portable one in the off space but central in the rest). Hot tub got a lot of use, you can see the neighbors but very quite open space which was also great for excitable kids. Wonderful fire pit, stocked kitchen and grill. We plan to go again next year. And the area is also beautiful. Near the state park, we went tubing one day and swimming/fishing in the lake the next. Hosts were quick to respond and clear with communication.

My friends and I enjoyed our time at the cabin, which was clean and quiet in a beautiful location.However, the listing did not indicate that there is a road with a steep incline that you need to drive up in order to reach the home, and one of our vehicles was not able to make it up the hill with snow on the road. If you're visiting in winter, be sure any vehicles that need to reach the house have all-wheel drive!The sleeping layout worked well for us, and beds were more comfortable than we anticipated when we first sat on them. The large couch in the main living area is broken, though, which made it less comfortable to spend time together than we wanted. The only other seating in that space is the benches with the dining tables, which are convenient for group meals. The kitchen had most essentials, but some pot holders would be an excellent addition and the kettle handle needs to be repaired (be prepared to be creative so that you don't burn yourself).Also, bring your own hand soap. The bathrooms had a few individual packets of makeup-removing towelettes, but no soap of any kind in either bathroom, only dish soap at the kitchen sink and some shampoo in the shower that appeared to be left behind by previous visitors.Finally, several outlets in the lower level were not functional. We did not test them throughout the house, but check what is working where before you choose a bed, if you need to have a device charging overnight nearby.

We just had birthdays, 70 & 72. Love the outdoors. This quiet place in the woods was awesome for us. Outside hot tub was wonderful. Faces the woods, leaves were beautiful. Cabin was very roomy and kitchen well stocked. Very comfortable beds, slept so good! We saw at least 30 deer during our stay. We will be back... wonderful!

Eight of us stayed and we had plenty of room and enjoyed a very comfortable stay. The property is very close to Capacon State Park and Berkeley Springs with plenty of trails and wildlife. The amenities were great with a full kitchen, laundry machines, games, wifi, TVs for streaming, a fire ring, and more.
