Titanic Comfort Kurfurstendamm

Having stayed at Titanic Comfort Kurfürstendamm twice previously, both times with excellent experiences, I was genuinely looking forward to returning. Sadly, standards appear to have deteriorated considerably. This time we were allocated single rooms rather than double rooms for single occupancy. The difference was staggering. The rooms appeared to have been created by dividing larger rooms, with little consideration for practicality. The bed stretched across the entire width of the room, meaning you actually had to climb over it to open or close the curtains! The shower was equally badly designed, flooding the bathroom floor whenever it was used. Three members of our party, in three separate single rooms, experienced the same layout problems. Frankly, these rooms were more suited to basic budget accommodation than a three-star hotel. However, the greatest disappointment was the complete lack of communication and customer care. Before arrival, I emailed the hotel twice requesting compassionate consideration of a cancellation for one member of our party who was seriously ill and undergoing investigations for suspected blood cancer. Neither email received a response. I raised the matter again on arrival and was assured a message would be left for management. Despite further visits to reception, no manager followed up. I witnessed several other unhappy guests and an uncomfortable atmosphere around reception, which only added to my concerns. I wasn't demanding a refund as an entitlement. I was simply asking for some compassion and the courtesy of a response. A hotel can have policies, but surely it should also have basic standards of communication and customer care. After two excellent previous stays, this experience was deeply disappointing. Unless standards improve, I would be very reluctant to return.

We booked 3 rooms, sadly one of our party became seriously ill - life threatening actually - both Agoda and the hotel did not even have the courtesy of reply to my emails. As I write, I'm still attempting to get an email address from the useless chat system on Agoda's website to register a formal complaint. A formal complaint has now been regiestered with the hotel. Don't think there is much chance of us going back to the Titanic nor using Agoda again. Buyer Beware!

Comfy hotel, clean and great location.

The location was perfect for easy transport and walkability, offering pleasant views and restful sleep environment. The facilities were well-maintained and complemented by attentive staff. Overall, the stay provided excellent value for money and convenience.
