    I have been staying at Smile hotel twice a year for the past 4 years. Simple reason - affordable, friendly staff, location is 12 min walk from Shin-Osaka for the Shinkansen and 10 -12 min walk from 2 other smaller stations. You can easily get on Midosuji line for Umeda (Osaka) or Hankyu line for other routes into Osaka. Any closer to train stations and the price goes up considerably. The hotel is not in a tourist region. There are plenty of places to eat in the area, though for breakfast I find it easier to eat in the hotel where the buffet has enough choice for me. Also I can get my washing done (hint : pack light for Japan and washing clothes instead).

    It’s not easy to find the hotel from the train station. The room is clean and comfortable. The food of hotel’s restaurant is not various but delicious.
