Personally we went there through the greyhound bus, which was litteraly next door so it was a perfect location for us! + we went to Pittsburg for Tekko Convention, which was again, really a perfect location for us since it was litteraly a 5-10 min walk away! It was just as described, nice and clean. I personally found the communication okay! And I would definitely book again for next year 😌

I booked this stay expecting the convenience of a hotel. It is far from that. To access the property, you'll need to send them: a photo of your driver's licenses, a selfie with yourself and the driver's license, a screenshot of the Abode charge to your credit card, and a photo of the credit card you used to book. You'll also need to sign a release form and provide details on all the other guests staying at the property. And when I pushed back on this excessive amount of information, I was told it's because it's self check-in. I finally managed to get them to agree to a photo of the credit card with only the last 4 digits, my name and expiration date, something they could ask for from the start. When we arrived at the property, there actually is building security who will check ID. And then you get a 13 page manual of instructions. Don't park on the property, despite what the manual says it was entirely booked when we arrived. Just park across the street, but don't follow their screenshot of Google Maps, that is for pedestrians and the entry they point you to isn't the entry for vehicles. I also go three separate emails reminding me of the check out time and indicating if we overstayed, we'd be charged $50 for every additional 30 mins. And if we lose the keys needed to access the building, it's a $150 replacement fee. The property itself is nice and the location very central, but not worth the hassle of all the hidden rules, unclear instructions and many emails.

there a million and one hoops to jump through and you don't know until you've already booked a non-refundable stay. Also the parking is a pain. The listing says parking on site what they don't tell you is that you have to renew it every 6-8 hrs and that sometimes means waking up in the middle of the night on vacation to do it. The venue itself is very classy and clean - but on parking alone I'd never stay there again. It cost me more than the $10/day for parking and was a huge hassle. I had to email them several times and their solution was to give me an extra hour for late checkout. not worth it.

Perfect location if you want to experience downtown Pittsburgh. Comfortable and clean. Within walking distance of The Strip and the Train Stop. The only thing that was disappointing was that the windows weren't clean so we couldn't see outside very well.

The check in process was awful. Nearly an hour. Then we got accused of a loud noise, when we were sleeping and as a wedding was going on. Parking was unclear to us. It was a nice building, but very frustrating.

Initially we had some communication issues that led to us not receiving the room access information until the very day we were supposed to arrive. Needless to say, we were unhappy! But hats off to Vanessa at Abode for being patient with us and reassuring us that everything was going to work out. ***The communication issue was apparently between Abode and our bank. Just want to make that clear.*** Eventually we resolved the issues and we were able to access our room easily. Everything was as advertised. The location was extremely convenient for the martial arts tournament we were in town to attend at the convention center, and we fell in love with the historic building. The room was clean and had everything provided as shown. Even though we were next to the train station the noise was not disruptive. We look forward to staying here again!

Location is easy access to market square, the strip and the stadium. The apartment has a washer and dryer and we didn’t bring home any dirty laundry. It also has a full kitchen so if you want to cook you can cook. This is a very safe property. We will return.

The Pennsylvanian is a beautiful property from the outside. Inside it’s a bit dark and dingy (and smelly), especially the hallways. The apartment was ok. It has the amenities needed (kitchen, bathroom, living room and its laundry). However, the apartment door didn’t close properly without having to prop it up and pushing it hard. For the price paid, I expected a bit more lux. Communication from property managers was good.

I got married downstairs at the Pennsylvanian and this was by far the best place to rent. Absolutely beautiful the front desk was extra friendly and helpful the apartment had everything we needed even for a dinner with the family afterwards.

The apartment building is nice. The property management doesn’t see to the apartment being clean. There were several issues, the worst was the mouse. We saw a mouse come in under the apartment door and later we saw it on the couch. We blocked off the bedroom, hoping it would leave the way it came. We didn’t realize the apartment was its home. He was back the next day, so I called the property management. After an hour, I was told they couldn’t do pest control until the next day. They offered to move me to a different apartment, or let me stay with the mouse for 50% off the remaining nights. The property management is okay having guest stay with wild rodents. After wishing Stuart the best (since I was in his home) we switched apartments. The new one had hair in the shower and a random pill in the window. We won’t be back.

The property was great! I really felt comfortable in the space. The concierge Naya was extremely helpful and welcoming, which was nice in the moment of being slightly overwhelmed. My ONE critique would be to simplify the instructions for finding the parking. That was the most confusing park for me. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would book this again!

Had visitors coming in from out of town. Had to call Abode to instruct them to send a cleaning team out. The place was filthy.. certainly not worth the money. They also put a $500 hold after you pay Expedia so I had over $1200 wrapped up in a dirty apartment. Will never use Abode again. I’ve always had great experiences with Expedia. They should be off your list of rentals.

The property used to be an old train station converted into luxury apartments and event space. Likes:Proximity to downtown and the Strip District Washer/Dryer with detergent Spacious Very Nice Gym Nicely stocked kitchen and bathroom.Great temperature control.Early check in available.Front door staff friendly and helpful.Dislikes:Noise from the train at odd hours of night and early morning (3:00 am). Noise emanating from event space. There were two events during our stay. The first was fine, but the second we could hear the music quite clearly but only for about 45 minutes. We had to get up early the next morning so for the person sleeping on the sofa bed it wasn’t great.Cumbersome reservation process outside of the travel booking platform.Difficult to use ride share because the drivers are not familiar with all the entrances of the building. My particular unit needed a deep clean. Drawers in the kitchen and bathroom had random junk (paper and plastic bags, odd toiletry items, plastic carry out containers). The baseboards and the louver door were thick with dust. There was a ring stain around the tub (I tried scrubbing it out with no success) and the oven was filthy. Some of the dishes, utensils, and pans were dirty (and some should be replaced). Everything else was clean and usable.Note—I didn’t call Abode for every single issue because I do not prefer anyone in my space after I have checked in. The value of the stay was good despite the negatives.

We enjoyed our stay at Abode Pittsburgh! The facility and room were very neat and clean. The security staff were friendly and helpful. Communication from Abode was timely and complete. I received check-in instructions that were clear and concise. Very helpful and thorough! This is not a hotel, though. There is no front desk staff and no on-sight restaurant. Although it is downtown in the middle of everything, so anything you might need is a short walk away.
