Klondyke Cherry Farm

The complete calm and serene environment, the pond and wide open space, and crisp fresh air, away from the city. The comfortable house with big rooms and very cosy and comfortable beds and couches. And of course the fireplace where you can sit and relax during cold days and nights.

The one bathroom had a problem with the shower overflowing. And the same shower that spills over onto the toilet. The light of the bathroom wasn't working and wasn't fixed while we were there.

Loved the fireplace, the thoughtful bag of wood for the cold evenings. Lovely, spacious rooms and beautiful views. Communication with the host was great.

Could use extra basic kitchen utensils like scissors and a sharp knife or two.

The fireplace was really useful for the cold weather and made the cottage cozy. We loved the electric blankets on all the beds keeping us nice and warm during the very cold June stay

Whilst the loadshedding was outside the owners control, there could have been much better communication regarding it and maybe ways to try and mitigate the discomfort beyond just a few extra candles. The oven was not working at all, the toaster element only worked on one side. The crockery and cutlery was basic and minimal and not even clean. The provided lighter only worked the first day. No provided tea/ coffee which is a basic amenity for self catering. One ply toilet paper. Whilst we made due….All in all not worth the money spent. When traveling to Ceres side we will rather choose a different establishment
