Lovely old hotel conveniently located to all the sights of Antwerp, but in a mostly residential area that is quiet and peaceful. Great breakfast, friendly staff, very relaxed environment. The building is beautiful, but be aware that you’ll need to climb plenty of stairs; if that’s a problem, choose a more modern hotel with an elevator! I enjoyed my night here and would stay here again if I return to Antwerp. My room was basic, but I slept well, and that’s what really matters at a hotel.

Our stay here was unfortunately not the best. We only stayed two nights and this hotel charged us twice. Once online to book it($280), then upon arrival we had a lady who we later found out did not work there charge us another entire two night stay but said it was under a “deposit”($240) which would be normal however we were also later informed by the host that this hotel does not ask for deposits. After we tried to contact this hotel several times and was given the run around they completely ghosted us now after a month of trying to get the refund. So disappointed considering the stay itself was okay, the room was as described. I would not recommend travelers here as they scammed us entirely. I hope no one else goes through this.

I really enjoyed my time at Hotel Rubenshof. I found all members of staff very helpful and professional. In a way it was like being at home. I did lots of walking but it was all very worthwhile and I would recommend this hotel to people who like me were on a budget but still wanted to have their own space. Thank you.
